About Code

Code.org is an education innovation non-profit dedicated to the vision that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education. Founded in 2013 by twin brothers Hadi and Ali Partovi, the organization started with a single promotional video featuring tech legends that went completely viral. Today, Code.org provides the leading curriculum for computer science in the largest school districts in the United States and works globally to expand access. A massive part of their core mission is to increase participation by young women and students from underrepresented groups, proving that coding is a foundational skill for everyone, not just a select few.
