Today, BaubleBar’s unabashedly optimistic perspective can be found across multiple accessory categories sold direct-to-consumer and in over 8,500 retail stores globally.
We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to own inventory and COGS in NetSuite and play a key role in our wider general ledger and corporate accounting work within a small high-functioning finance team. You’ll be the primary owner of inventory and related GL accounts, including activity from foreign manufacturers and 3PLs, and a core contributor to month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes digging into inventory flows, landed cost, and reconciliations – and turning that data into a clear picture. You’ll partner with operations, supply chain, and finance leadership, and help ensure our financial statements truly reflect what’s happening in the business.
What We Want You To Do:
- Own inventory accounting and COGS accounting in NetSuite across locations and channels (e-commerce, wholesale, marketplaces)
- Manage monthly inventory rollforwards and reconcile physical inventory counts, inventory subledgers, and the general ledger across locations; investigate and resolve discrepancies and maintain clear documentation
- Lead landed cost accounting from manufacturers (components, labor, packaging, freight, duties)
- Prepare and post key journal entries each month (inventory, COGS, freight/duty accruals, prepaids, reclasses) with proper support and explanations
- Play a vital role in the month-end close by owning accounts and working alongside the team to meet close deadlines
- Work with operations, supply chain, and logistics to ensure receipts, shipments, returns, and adjustments are accurately reflected in the books
- Support audits and external requests with schedules related to inventory, COGS, and assigned GL accounts
- Execute and document inventory accounting-related internal controls and procedures – suggesting improvements in NetSuite setup, workflows, and close checklists as you see opportunities
- Serve as key accounting resource for NetSuite inventory workflows, partnering with Supply Chain and Operations
- Take responsibility for additional balance sheet and P&L accounts and contribute to broader general ledger and corporate accounting activities as needed
What We Want To See:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and direct exposure to inventory or cost accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements support
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
- Experience with imported inventory, foreign manufacturers, and landed cost accounting, including freight and duties, strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability required
- Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance partners
- Position will be remote (residing anywhere in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.) Standard working hours to coincide with 9:00am-6:00pm
What We Offer:
- Generous benefit package including: Outstanding company contribution towards employee premiums for Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, PTO, 10 paid Company Holidays, Company paid Life Insurance & more!
- Be part of a lean, highly effective, collaborative team where your impact is easy to see. Your work will directly shape our financials and decisions
- Company laptop, free monthly product allowance, and employee discounts
