Physician Assistant (Sleep Medicine)

Sleep Doctor Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to join their clinical team, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of sleep disorders.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive sleep histories and physical examinations (via telehealth or in-person) to evaluate sleep-related complaints.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT) and in-lab Polysomnography (PSG).
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including CPAP/BiPAP therapy, pharmacological interventions, and lifestyle counseling.
• Guide patients on sleep hygiene, mechanics of sleep disorders, and long-term health benefits of therapy compliance.
• Monitor patient progress, manage equipment titration/adjustments, and provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) referrals or basic coaching.
• Collaborate closely with Sleep Technicians, Medical Director, and administrative staff for seamless patient care.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current, active, unrestricted NCCPA certification.
• State PA license (multi-state license preferred).
• Certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (CBSM) or experience in Sleep Medicine is a major plus.
• DEA registration and state-specific prescriptive authority.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• Experience with telehealth or remote patient care is required.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth platforms; familiarity with CPAP compliance software (e.g., Canvas, AirView, Care Orchestrator) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional verbal and written skills to explain complex physiological concepts in accessible terms.
