What You Get To Do Every Day
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive sleep histories and physical examinations (via telehealth or in-person) to evaluate sleep-related complaints.
- Diagnosis & Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT) and in-lab Polysomnography (PSG).
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including CPAP/BiPAP therapy, pharmacological interventions, and lifestyle counseling.
- Patient Education: Guide patients on sleep hygiene, the mechanics of sleep disorders, and the long-term health benefits of compliance with therapy.
- Follow-up Care: Monitor patient progress, manage equipment titration/adjustments, and provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) referrals or basic coaching.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Sleep Technicians, Medical Director, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
What You Bring To The Role
- A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current, active, unrestricted NCCPA certification.
- State PA license (multi-state license preferred).
- Certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (CBSM) or experience in Sleep Medicine is a major plus.
- DEA registration and state-specific prescriptive authority.
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
- Experience with telehealth or remote patient care is required.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth platforms. Familiarity with CPAP compliance software (e.g., Canvas, AirView, Care Orchestrator) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to explain complex physiological concepts in 'human' terms.
