About The Role:

The Content Strategist is a crucial, client-facing role responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders. This role focuses on Enterprise clients and requires a deep understanding of their service line and its impact on other areas of business to create a holistic marketing strategy.

Internally, this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices for clients to achieve their NSMs (Named Success Metrics). Use project phases, client goals, ongoing campaigns, and historical performance to optimize and revise strategies over time. Collaborate with Associate Directors (AsD) when roadblocks arise.
  • Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns based on competitor and audience insights.
  • Apply best practices in areas such as LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production.
  • Goal Setting: Set goals for clients using data from Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush reporting, and Ahrefs reporting. Goals must be approved by the Associate Director (AsD) before presenting to clients.
  • Project Management: Ensure strategies are executed using Asana for task delegation and tracking. Partner with Project Managers to assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure timely completion. Collaborate with content writers and designers to deliver high-quality campaigns on time.
  • Internal and External Communication: Build strong client relationships and communicate regularly on timelines, goal progress, and deliverables via Slack. Proactively inform internal leadership about roadblocks, growth opportunities, and client changes.
  • Reporting: Regularly report progress and impact to clients through bi-weekly meetings, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and bi-annual business review presentations.

What You'll Bring:

  • A proven track record in implementing SEO principles and content strategy, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
  • Analytical insight to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Strong communication skills for client-facing roles and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Proven organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content.
  • Agency experience and B2B tech or SaaS experience required.
  • Driven to stay ahead of industry trends, including AI and automation.

  • Upsells / Cross-sells / Referrals:
    • Grow clients into other service lines (e.g., SEO or Paid Media) or increase budgets in current service lines.
