Energy Solutions is seeking a Trade Ally Manager I to support market engagement and outreach activities that contribute to energy efficiency program performance. In this role, the Trade Ally Manager I assists manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and other market actors with participation in midstream and market-facing programs by providing information, responding to inquiries, and supporting outreach efforts.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys outreach activities, researching participation issues, and reporting on observations as well as following defined engagement plans.
This role is remote in the greater Spokane, WA metro area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support achievement of assigned trade ally participation, engagement, and recruitment goals through proactive outreach, relationship development, and ongoing account support
- Execute assigned outreach activities to manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and other market actors to support program participation
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with assigned trade allies, contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and market participants to support ongoing program engagement and participation
- Coordinate routine communication and follow-up activities with trade allies and internal stakeholders
- Research and document responses to trade ally inquiries and route questions to appropriate program staff when needed
- Support implementation of outreach campaigns, engagement activities, and trade ally participation initiatives
- Assist with in-market outreach activities, including local meetings, trainings, events, and relationship-building activities with trade allies and market partners
- Research participation issues, documentation discrepancies, and submission questions and escalate non-routine issues as appropriate
- Validate program documentation, participation records, and required submissions for completeness and accuracy
- Follow established procedures to support resolution of routine participation and process-related issues
- Update CRM systems, outreach records, dashboards, and participation tracking systems to maintain accurate program information
- Prepare and report basic participation metrics, outreach activities, and trade ally engagement information as assigned
- Document stakeholder interactions, participation updates, and program feedback within established systems and tools
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be located within the Spokane, WA area
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- 2 years of professional experience in customer service, program support, outreach, sales support, administrative operations, or a related role
- Experience working with external stakeholders, customers, contractors, vendors, or trade partners
- Experience maintaining records, tracking activities, and following established processes and procedures
- Ability to execute assigned outreach and engagement activities using established guidance
- Understanding of customer service, relationship management, or stakeholder support principles
- Experience using CRM systems, databases, spreadsheets, or other business systems to maintain records and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related productivity tools
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when needed
- Ability to conduct business travel regionally/locally (between 10-40% depending on program, team) and occasional travel (less than 5%) to conferences and to the west coast
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Certifications: Certified Energy Services Professional (CESP – AESP), CRM Platform Certification (e.g., Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics Fundamentals), or Utility or Program-Sponsored Trade Ally
- Experience supporting energy efficiency, sustainability, utility, or incentive-based programs
- Experience performing outreach, customer service, participant engagement, or account support activities
- Familiarity with the HVAC, building envelope, and/or water heater industries
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Understanding of trade ally, contractor, distributor, or market-partner engagement practices
