Voldex is a leading gaming company focused on Roblox, the most exciting ecosystem in gaming today. With over 160 million monthly active players across their games, including Brookhaven (the most-visited game in Roblox history with 72 billion visits), Voldex is one of the biggest Roblox studios by audience size.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to shape how players discover, navigate, and interact with Brookhaven. As our first dedicated UX/UI designer, you'll elevate the player experience—from simplifying complex menus and improving player flows to creating intuitive, mobile-first interfaces. You'll collaborate with product, game design, art, and engineering teams to establish UX/UI foundations for Brookhaven's future.

This opportunity begins as a 6-month contract, with potential to extend or transition into a full-time role.

If you're passionate about creating intuitive, player-first experiences and solving complex design challenges, we'd love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

  • Own Brookhaven's UI and UX end-to-end, from a player's first session to their hundredth
  • Audit the current UI and map core player journeys, documenting drop-off points and pain areas
  • Combine player data, community feedback, and competitive research to identify and prioritize UX problems
  • Define Brookhaven's information hierarchy and player flows, ensuring clarity and accessibility
  • Produce wireframes, annotated flows, and prototypes for art and engineering teams
  • Design high-fidelity screens and reusable UI components with clear design rules
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure design intent is implemented accurately
  • Measure the impact of UX changes post-launch and iterate based on analytics
  • Establish UI and UX standards and documentation for consistent feature delivery

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX or product designer, owning both UX and UI on shipped work in games or consumer mobile apps
  • A portfolio showcasing both research, player flows, information architecture, wireframes, and polished UI
  • Shipped mobile-first work, with expertise in tap targets, thumb reach, and touch interactions
  • Strong information architecture skills for organizing complex products into clear structures
  • Proven visual design skills (layout, hierarchy, typography, iconography) with a distinct UI component perspective
  • Experience using player data, research, and community feedback to inform design decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product, game design, art, and engineering teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively during EST and PST time zones, with a preference for PST

Nice to Have

  • Experience in games, particularly live service or mobile free-to-play
  • Experience redesigning or untangling an existing, inherited UI on a live product
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library
  • Experience designing for young audiences
  • Hands-on user research experience (playtests, usability testing, surveys)
  • Prototyping beyond Figma (e.g., ProtoPie or in-engine)

Bonus Points for

  • Experience designing UI for Roblox experiences or familiarity with Roblox-native UI conventions
  • Hands-on experience with Roblox Studio
  • Passion for roleplay and social games

Tech Stack

  • Figma
  • Roblox Studio
  • Luau
  • Snowflake/dbt/Tableau
  • Claude Code, Codex, and ChatGPT licenses

Voldex (operating under voldex.com) is the premier, enterprise-grade user-generated content (UGC) gaming studio, virtual worlds publisher, and interactive media innovator engineered to operate as the definitive, high-velocity experience acquisition, community optimization, and live-operations engineering layer for massive-scale gaming ecosystems including Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite Creative. Founded by gaming entrepreneur Alex Singer, the company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern decentralized game development—where independent indie creators lose vital distribution momentum, scaling capabilities, brand collaboration opportunities, and monetization velocity due to shifting platform discoverability algorithms and technical infrastructure constraints—by deploying a sophisticated corporate acquisition and live-ops optimization matrix. Moving far beyond traditional, passive game design houses or basic asset-flipped development agencies, Voldex natively unifies strategic asset acquisition (highlighted by its historic acquisition of category-defining titles like Brookhaven RP, Driving Empire, and Ultimate Football), real-time global multiplayer data analytics, immersive physics-based gameplay extensions, and high-concurrency cross-platform event activations into a single high-availability development workspace. Amassing a gargantuan aggregate user base exceeding 145 million monthly active users (MAUs) and billions of lifetime gameplay sessions, the studio handles massive global transaction concurrency and player lifecycle telemetry with production-hardened engineering precision. Backed by elite institutional venture capital including a monumental Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), alongside major backing from Dune Ventures, Makers Fund, and POW! Interactive, the organization deploys custom cross-chain data synchronization models and automated deployment loops. What sets Voldex apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, individual creator cycles with absolute studio-level scale, interactive brand activation velocity (partnering with global powerhouses like The LEGO Group, NBCUniversal, and Warner Bros. Games), and structural community monetization; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive system infrastructures and immediate, player-driven immersive entertainment, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic UGC media networks and worldwide virtual world scaling.
