Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company, building cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products to solve real-world business problems. They are hiring a Senior Director of Integrated Marketing to lead demand engine, product marketing, and field/partner motion.
About the Role
This senior marketing leader is most accountable for pipeline generation, transforming Cohere’s product, brand, and category narrative into qualified enterprise opportunities for the sales team. Sub-functions reporting include Product Marketing, Web Marketing, Growth, and Events & Partnerships.
You’ll collaborate with the Chief of Staff on planning, budgeting, and operating cadence, and with the Marketing Operations Director on attribution, forecasting, martech, and pipeline dashboards. Success hinges on seamless teamwork between marketing and analytics from day one.
Ideal for someone with 15-20+ years in B2B marketing, 4-5+ years leading multi-function marketing teams at high-growth enterprise SaaS, cloud, data, or AI/ML companies. This role demands hands-on pipeline ownership, cross-functional leadership, and fluency in modern B2B marketing stacks (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce, ABM platforms).
What You’ll Run
Integrated Marketing Strategy
- Build and execute an integrated marketing plan aligned with Cohere’s annual pipeline and revenue targets, segmented by enterprise/mid-market and region (NA, EMEA, APAC, Japan).
Growth & Demand Generation
- Oversee Growth lead across paid media, SEO, lifecycle/email, web conversion, ABM, and developer-led acquisition. Set demand strategy for top-of-funnel (broad-reach campaigns, content syndication, paid) and bottom-funnel ABM.
Product Marketing
- Manage Product Marketing lead, whose team handles positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, pricing/packaging, launches, and sales enablement. Partner with Product and Research to translate frontier AI capabilities into enterprise-relevant business outcomes, security, deployment flexibility, and ROI.
Events & Partnerships Marketing
- Lead Events & Partnerships team in building partner marketing motions (co-marketing campaigns, joint field activity, partner-sourced pipeline) and holding events to pipeline standards.
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop 3 direct reports (leads of Growth, Product Marketing, Events & Partnerships) and their teams of ~20–35 across sub-functions.
- Set operating cadence with Chief of Staff, including weekly pipeline reviews with Sales, monthly QBR-style reviews internally, and quarterly planning with Finance and RevOps.
How Success Will Be Measured
Primary Metrics:
- Marketing-sourced pipeline ($ and # of opportunities)
- Marketing-influenced pipeline
- MQL → SQL conversion rate and velocity
- Cost per opportunity / pipeline ROI
Secondary Metrics:
- Launch impact (pipeline generated within 90 days of major launches)
- Event ROI (pipeline per event $)
- Partner-sourced pipeline
- ABM account engagement and penetration in named accounts
- Sales team NPS / enablement satisfaction
What You Bring
- 15-20+ years in B2B marketing, with 4-5+ years leading multi-function marketing teams at high-growth enterprise SaaS, cloud, data, or AI/ML companies.
- Proven track record of owning a pipeline number, not just contributing to one. Ability to articulate campaigns, math, and trade-offs.
- Experience managing across at least two of: demand gen/growth, product marketing, field/events, partner marketing. Bonus for three or more.
- Fluency in modern B2B marketing stack: Marketo/HubSpot, Salesforce, ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense, Demandbase), and attribution tooling. Comfortable with dashboards, not just decks.
- Experience marketing to technical buyers (engineering leaders, data/ML leaders, CIOs) and selling technical products. AI/ML, data infrastructure, dev tools, or cloud experience strongly preferred.
- Operational agility: comfortable presenting on board-deck slides and engaging at trade-show booths.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, particularly with Sales, RevOps, Product, and Finance.
