The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Head of Non-Tech Talent to lead our comprehensive hiring strategy for all non-technical roles. This pivotal position involves building out capabilities across General and Administrative (G&A), Go to Market (GTM), Finance, Legal, and other business-critical functions. You'll transform how we attract, hire, and develop top talent beyond tech while building and coaching a high-performing global talent team. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the non-tech talent strategy aligned with Cohere's growth plan and business objectives, partnering with TA leads across the organization.
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of non-tech recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators; create career paths and succession plans.
Design and implement scalable hiring processes for non-technical roles while maintaining high-quality standards.
Serve as the primary talent advisor to Talent Leads and partner closely with Executive stakeholders within non-technical business units.
Elevate Cohere's employer brand for non-technical talent through targeted campaigns and storytelling.
Establish comprehensive metrics and analytics to track hiring effectiveness, quality of hire, pipeline health, and ROI for all non-tech initiatives.
Build and maintain diverse talent pools for critical non-technical Director+ level roles using data insights and partnering with the standalone Sourcing function.
Partner with People Operations and business leaders to ensure seamless onboarding and integration.
Oversee the non-tech recruitment budget and optimize resource allocation across priorities using data-driven forecasting.
Required Qualifications
12+ years in talent acquisition and leading non-technical hiring teams.
Proven success scaling recruitment functions 10x+ during hyper-growth phases (from 800+ employees).
Demonstrated ability to anticipate talent needs 6-12 months ahead of business growth curves.
Deep expertise in talent analytics, metrics development, and data-informed decision making.
Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Deep experience hiring for HR, Admin, Support, Finance, Legal, and other business roles within a tech setting.
Experience designing and implementing scalable, data-driven hiring processes.
Strong track record of developing high-performing and high-volume team members and creating meaningful career progression paths.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tech companies or fast-paced environments with scale experience.
Knowledge of the AI industry and its talent landscape.
Experience with international hiring and remote teams.
Background in employer branding and talent marketing.
Experience with predictive analytics and talent forecasting tools.
