About Teleport
Don’t wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it. Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
Why We Love This Role
We use a modern and innovative approach to solving traditional IT problems spanning Infrastructure as Code (IaC), shell scripting, and workflow automation tooling like Temporal/Go.
We work on a wide range of IT problems including networking, security, and integrations with existing systems.
Our products are loved by their users.
We practice thorough code reviews and have an open design process.
Key Projects
Building our next-generation IT workflow automation tooling using Temporal and Go running on Kubernetes.
Collaborate with the engineering team on Teleport Identity (identity governance) and Teleport Policy (access policies).
Building hardened security and automation for macOS endpoints.
Writing IT automation using tools like Terraform, shell scripts, and Go.
Writing integrations with tools like Panther, Jamf Pro, Okta, Rippling, and Google Chrome Enterprise.
Traditional IT Helpdesk tasks, including helping internal customers with access, lockouts, integrations, and configurations.
What to Expect After Applying
You will join a 30-minute intro call to discuss compensation, the interview process, and requirements.
You will join a Slack channel and submit a coding challenge using Terraform and shell scripts (or Go) via GitHub.
Requirements
Willingness and ability to handle traditional IT tasks, such as setting up and debugging IT tools, Okta, Rippling, Zendesk, helping internal customers with setup (helpdesk), and diving deep into Kubernetes and Go + Temporal.
Programming experience in Go. Experience with Temporal is a bonus.
Linux systems engineering experience and Kubernetes.
IaC (Terraform) and shell scripting experience.
IT security and administration experience.
Nice to Have
Experience with data warehousing concepts and platforms such as AWS Redshift, Fivetran, and DBT.
Why Join Teleport
You're joining a company where the problem is real, the team is small, and your work directly impacts the product. You won’t get lost in a crowd. You’ll have the freedom and autonomy to excel alongside teammates who care about quality and your success. The work is collaborative, there’s room to grow, and the mission is meaningful.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we’re genuinely passionate about what we’re building.

Teleport
View Company ProfileTeleport (operating at goteleport.com, originally Gravitational) is an open-source, identity-native infrastructure access and zero-trust security platform engineered to secure servers, Kubernetes clusters, databases, internal web applications, and AI workloads across multi-cloud and edge environments. Founded in 2015 by Ev Kontsevoy, Alexander Klizhentas, and Taylor Wakefield and headquartered in Oakland, California, Teleport replaces traditional VPNs, static SSH keys, and legacy privileged access management (PAM) tools with cryptographic, short-lived identity certificates. Moving beyond credential rotation and perimeter defense, Teleport provides passwordless access bound to hardware security enclaves, fine-grained access proxies, and kernel-level eBPF audit recording. Under the hood, its architecture issues ephemeral x509 and SSH certificates tied to single sign-on (SSO) identity providers like Okta and Entra ID, enforces just-in-time (JIT) access workflows, and captures tamper-evident session recordings for stringent SOC 2, FedRAMP, and HIPAA compliance. What sets Teleport apart is its zero-trust unified access plane that enforces the principle of least privilege (PoLP) across human engineers, machine workloads, and autonomous AI agents—securing multi-trillion-dollar production environments for global enterprises like IBM, NASDAQ, and Ticketmaster.
