The Role:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Revenue Strategy, Operations, and Analytics, this position supports sales, services, and analytics initiatives in the United States. The ideal candidate will manipulate large data sets to uncover trends and provide recommendations. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with departments such as executive leadership, sales, marketing, operations, finance, product, and data analytics. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing business processes, delivering data-driven insights, and informing short- and long-term strategies.

The Sr. Analyst position requires an excellent understanding of the OpenTable Sales and Services organization, the ability to learn quickly, and adaptability in ambiguous situations. Strong communication, project management, and data analysis skills are essential, along with comfort in building recommendations. Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, SQL queries, and a finance or analytics background is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sophisticated analytics to support global Sales, Services, and Marketing decisions, including recurring monitoring of key performance metrics and business segment health.
  • Prepare and present analyses and narratives for diverse audiences, ranging from field sales to senior leadership.
  • Translate complex data sets into impactful insights, recommendations, dashboards, and reports for sales, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with sales leaders, driving key initiatives and measurable results across diverse business segments.
  • Manage inbound requests from the Global Restaurant Sales and Services (RSS) team for ad hoc analyses, reporting needs, process, and system enhancement requests.
  • Partner with Salesforce and BI teams to implement process and data optimizations.
  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards for various business scenarios.
  • Ensure Salesforce.com (SFDC) data stewardship and improvement, dashboard and report creation, upkeep, end-user support, and documentation management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, operations, or strategy roles.
  • Experience with Snowflake or other relational databases.
  • Strong SQL coding skills and experience with ETL process design and development.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Equivalent Google Sheets experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in Salesforce, Preset/Superset, Snowflake.
  • Operational experience in measuring and improving efficiency, utilization, and scale initiatives.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to take on challenging projects while being a peer leader.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including detailing business processes, use cases, and business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Understanding of the sales process within OpenTable or equivalent sales process experience.
  • Background in finance or advanced business analytics.
