Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, connection-obsessed, and systems-minded SEM Lead / Senior SEM Expert to spearhead and scale our paid acquisition strategy across our complete portfolio of applications under a permanent, full-time remote engagement framework open across Spain and broader Europe. Shifting completely away from routine ad-hoc copywriting, passive tracking checkmarks, or simple external agency oversight, you will run an active algorithmic budget engineering, high-volume keyword segmentation, and technical search automation laboratory—partnering face-to-face with product managers, data scientists, and core growth marketing pods. This position requires a quantitative performance veteran who constructs multi-layered campaign infrastructures fluidly natively using Google Ads mechanics, evaluates backend attribution health cleanly natively leveraging automated tracking models and data warehouses, and commands large-scale multi-product budget allocation frameworks confidently under strict unit-economic performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Paid Search Architecture: End-to-end management, engineering, and scaling of Google Ads Search infrastructures from scratch across our complete application portfolio, establishing robust keyword intent match-types.
- Algorithmic Bidding Optimization: Oversee Smart Bidding frameworks, optimizing conversion signal streams, tracking infrastructure, and data attribution nodes to optimize algorithm efficiency.
- Data Engineering and Script Automation: Build custom internal analytics dashboards, data pipelines, and performance-tracking automation scripts natively utilizing Google Ads and raw data warehouses (GA4, Looker Studio, and BigQuery).
- Capital Deployment and Profitability Governance: Formulate scalable system budget architectures, balancing capital distribution based on ultimate downstream unit metrics (LTV, CAC, and operational revenue impact) over vanity metrics.
- Search Term Data Mining: Lead deep, continuous query mining and negative keyword framework updates to isolate high-intent conversion pathways and eliminate capital leaks.
- Cross-Functional Product Synergy: Collaborate directly with internal data and product developers to influence application onboarding loops, subscription prompt flows, and integrate predictive tracking systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, or a highly quantitative technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science).
- Deep, verified career history driving high-volume paid acquisition growth, showcasing advanced structural expertise specifically within Google Ads Search.
- Demonstrated capacity tracking and scaling search channels natively utilizing Google Ads data, with deep mastery over matching keyword intents, negative mining rules, and conversion signals.
- Strong quantitative independence, with a proven ability to independently query databases, write custom reporting scripts, or interface with BigQuery, Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio ecosystems.
- Sharp financial mindset focused entirely on core unit economics, prioritizing actual profit conversions and LTV:CAC performance scales over simple CPC or CTR metrics.
- Excellent communication proficiency in English, enabling seamless strategic presentations and analytical walkthroughs across distributed product squads.
- Location Context: Position is open to experienced growth marketers working remotely from anywhere in Spain or across Europe, with optional hybrid office integration at Barcelona Tech City.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience optimizing paid customer acquisition pipelines for consumer mobile apps, multi-product tool utilities, or software subscription (SaaS) models.
- Operational hands-on background handling supplementary paid platforms such as Google Display Network (GDN) and YouTube Ads.
- Familiarity with prompt testing or exploring the intersection of generative AI models inside programmatic user growth pipelines.
