We’re looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our growing Revenue & O2C Accounting team. In this role, you will support Oura’s retail business by owning and improving key revenue accounting processes, helping stand up scalable processes as new retailers and distribution partners are onboarded, and partnering closely with Technical Accounting to ensure revenue guidance is applied appropriately and implemented effectively. This role is well suited for a strong revenue accounting professional who enjoys partnering cross-functionally, improving processes in a growing environment, and translating accounting guidance into practical business execution.

Role Overview

As a Manager in our Revenue Accounting organization, you will:

Lead the team

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Revenue Accounting team by setting priorities, providing regular feedback, supporting performance management, and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture by clarifying expectations, removing obstacles, and creating opportunities for team members to grow.

Support retail revenue accounting and close

  • Own and support monthly and quarterly close activities for assigned retail revenue areas, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Record and analyze accruals, reserves, deferred revenue, AR-related entries, and other retail-related accounting entries in accordance with business activity and applicable accounting guidance.
  • Provide clear, concise analysis and insights on retail revenue trends, movements, risks, and key balances to Finance leadership and cross-functional partners.

Help operationalize revenue guidance

  • Partner closely with Technical Accounting to assess ASC 606 implications and help ensure accounting conclusions are applied consistently across retail programs, promotions, and operational processes.
  • Translate accounting guidance into clear process steps, documentation, and practical business requirements that can be executed consistently by the team.
  • Serve as a dependable accounting resource for cross-functional partners as retail programs evolve and new scenarios emerge.

Support retailer onboarding and process scale-up

  • Help stand up and refine scalable accounting processes as new retailers and distribution partners are onboarded, including transaction flow reviews, ERP setup validation, reconciliations, and close readiness.
  • Partner with Business Systems, Retail, RevOps, Logistics, and other stakeholders to support accurate transaction flows, clean data, and scalable execution.
  • Maintain and improve SOPs, process documentation, and supporting materials that enable strong controls, audit readiness, and repeatable execution.

Contribute to process improvement and cross-functional enablement

  • Identify process gaps, investigate root causes, and drive improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and scale across retail revenue accounting workflows.
  • Support Accounting and business partners with clear guidance, strong communication, and a practical approach to operational issue resolution.
  • Help strengthen documentation, controls, and close support in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

What we’re looking for:

Required qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with revenue accounting and ASC 606; a combination of public accounting and industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of direct people-management experience, including setting direction, coaching and developing team members, and managing performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an accounting team’s day-to-day execution, including delegating work, establishing priorities, and ensuring timely, high-quality results.
  • Retail accounting experience, including exposure to retailer reconciliations, deductions or credits, reserves, and close support for large retail partner environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and how accounting guidance should be translated into practical processes and operational execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working through large sets of transactional data and operational process details.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting topics in clear, business-oriented language.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, including setting direction, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong systems and process mindset, with comfort digging into data, system flows, and configurations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex accounting and process topics in plain language to cross-functional partners such as Sales/Commercial, FP&A, Rev Ops, and Business Systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in high-growth and/or global organizations.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, plus experience partnering with systems teams on revenue-related configuration and process support.
  • Experience supporting audits, preparing documentation, and operating in SOX-ready or public-company environments.
  • Experience helping build or improve templates, playbooks, and scalable documentation processes.

Location

  • Remote, United States
  • Open to candidates across continental U.S. time zones
  • Occasional travel may be required for team or cross-functional meetings

Benefits

  • Health, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resources
  • An Oura Ring of your own plus employee discounts for friends & family
  • 20 days of paid time off plus 13 paid holidays plus 8 days of flexible wellness time off
  • Paid sick leave and parental leave

While companies like Apple and Garmin focus on wrist-based wearables, Oura recognized that measuring biometrics from the arteries in your finger provides significantly more accurate heart rate, temperature, and blood oxygen data. Originally famous as the ultimate 'sleep tracker' beloved by professional athletes and biohackers, Oura has evolved into a comprehensive 24/7 health companion. It tracks activity, cardiovascular health, stress levels, and women's health, translating massive amounts of biometric data into simple, actionable daily scores.
