Research Project Manager

We are looking for a Research Project Manager to join Oura’s Research Operations team, supporting strategic partnership projects generating real-world evidence of Oura’s impact and utility across health domains and populations. This role will own multiple outcomes-focused research projects and coordinate closely with Clinical Outcomes, Health Science, Data Science, Engineering, Product, Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, and external partners.

We have offices in San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

What You Will Do:

• Own a portfolio of commercial, academic, and member-based research studies, from feasibility and scoping through partner coordination, launch, data collection, analysis readiness, reporting, and closeout.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic collaborators in academic, healthcare, CRO, and commercial organizations.
• Establish repeatable processes, workflows, and documentation to enable high-quality research at industry speed and scale in a highly dynamic environment.
• Work with teams of experts to translate research questions into clear study plans, operational requirements, documented decisions, milestones, reporting, and evidence deliverables.
• Coordinate budgets, contracts, partner responsibilities, data-transfer expectations, privacy and consent requirements, timelines, and issue resolution.
• Monitor study progress, surface risks early, and communicate tradeoffs clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support evidence dissemination through reports, publications, abstracts, partner deliverables, clinical education, or commercial and regulatory materials as appropriate.

This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based on the East Coast.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of experience managing human research, clinical research, health outcomes, real-world evidence, healthcare programs, or equivalent partner research programs.
• Experience independently managing external academic, commercial, clinical, CRO, and/or healthcare partnerships.
• Experience taking research or outcomes projects from feasibility and planning through execution, reporting, and closeout.
• Strong project-management, documentation, risk-management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Familiarity with research data flows, participant privacy and consent, data-quality review, and tools such as spreadsheets, project trackers, survey platforms, EHRs, EDC, CTMS, eTMF, or comparable systems.
• Human-subjects research and GCP/CITI training, or willingness to complete required training.
