About Solace: Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.
We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S.-based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.
Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

Where You Come In:
Solace is looking for licensed LPNs and LVNs to step into a Patient Advocate role built around Medicare members. Rather than bedside or facility work, you'll support patients remotely across the full arc of their care. Untangling complicated health situations, moving them toward their wellness goals, and knocking down the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) that get in their way. The job rewards people who listen closely and then actually do something about what they hear.
Worth flagging up front: this is a 1099 independent contractor engagement. You control your calendar. Full-time, part-time, or somewhere in the middle. The role is entirely remote. You'll connect with patients by video or phone, never in person.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Lean on your LPN/LVN clinical background while getting fluent in Solace's proprietary platform, tools, and standards.
- Turn empathy and attentive listening into patient relationships built on genuine trust.
- Read each patient's situation, sort out what matters most first, and shape a care plan that keeps things moving over time.
- Design care plans that go beyond the clinical, factoring in everyday barriers like access to food, getting to appointments, and support in the home.
Who We're Looking For:
- A current LPN or LVN license in good standing.
- A track record of working with patients across many different backgrounds and communities.
- Compassion: your LPN/LVN experience is rooted in caring about people and standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves.
- Steadiness and structure: you keep multiple priorities organized and hold it together when the pace picks up.
- Quick technical footing: unfamiliar systems don't intimidate you—you get comfortable fast.
- Ownership: you spot what needs handling and handle it, without waiting for a nudge.

Solace Health
View Company ProfileSolace Health is a premier digital health and patient advocacy platform dedicated to transforming how individuals navigate the highly fragmented U.S. healthcare system. Founded in 2022 by CEO Jeremy Gurewitz and Chief Product Officer Sara Sargent, the company emerged from their personal struggles managing family medical crises, driving a mission to connect patients with highly trained healthcare advocates. Operating at a recently minted $1 billion "unicorn" valuation, Solace distinguishes itself by providing a network of over 2,000 seasoned nurse advocates—averaging 16 years of clinical experience—who do far more than just offer passive advice. These advocates act as hands-on proxies for patients, actively enduring hold music, chasing down medical teams, decoding complex insurance coverage, and untangling complicated diagnoses to drastically shorten time-to-care. Underpinning this service is a proprietary Electronic Health Record (EHR) system that securely streamlines care details between patients, advocates, and providers. While primarily targeting Medicare and Medicare Advantage members dealing with chronic, complex, or overwhelming medical conditions, Solace is actively expanding its partnerships with national payers and providers. What sets Solace apart in the competitive healthtech space is its core philosophy: they are a platform of "doers" who step directly into the bureaucratic trenches, ensuring patients and their families never have to face the healthcare system alone.
