Operations & Marketing Generalist (Food Business)

Core Responsibilities

This **generalist role** bridges **systems optimization**, **marketing execution**, and **day-to-day operations** for a **newly established food business**. The ideal candidate will:

Phase 1: Customer Journey & Funnel Build-Out

• Collaborate with the founder to design and implement a **lead-to-purchase funnel**, ensuring seamless data capture at every stage.

• Integrate **CRM, EPOS, and marketing tools** into a unified system for scalability.

Phase 2: Marketing & Automation

• Execute **marketing campaigns** (social media, email, Canva design) from day one.

• Set up **automation workflows** (e.g., Zapier, Make.com) and explore **AI agents** for future phases (e.g., review responses, email triage).

Phase 3: Admin & Process Optimization

• Triage **business emails**, filtering urgent tasks for the founder.

• Design **labels, SOPs, and marketing materials** in Canva; manage print procurement.

• Build and maintain **supplier/competitor databases** and research market trends.

• Set up a **VoIP phone system** with potential AI-assisted call handling.

Key Tools & Requirements

• Automation: Zapier, Make.com, n8n, AI tools (custom GPTs).

• Design: Canva (required), Adobe Express (plus). Portfolio submission mandatory.

• Email Marketing: Klaviyo (preferred), Mailchimp (acceptable).

• Social Media: Buffer or similar scheduling tools.

• Collaboration: Google Workspace proficiency.

• Industry: E-commerce/retail/food service experience (desirable but not mandatory).
