Fluidstack exists to make humanity more free by accelerating the deployment of 10s to 100s of GWs of compute infrastructure faster than anyone else. We are rethinking every layer of the stack, from hardware to software, to deliver civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer to own the network critical path for every site activation, ensuring network is never the reason a site goes live late. You will define network readiness gates, acceptance criteria, and sign-offs, and drive network change and incident programs to closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the network critical path for every site activation, including structured cabling, optics, switch and router delivery, circuit turn-up, and vendor integration.
- Define and enforce network readiness gates, acceptance criteria, and sign-offs across the fleet.
- Run the operating rhythm across network engineering, network operations, deployment, supply chain, and colocation/construction partners, surfacing schedule risks proactively.
- Drive network change and incident programs to closure, tracking corrective actions, recurrence patterns, and fleet-wide trends.
- Hold OEMs, ODMs, and deployment partners accountable for delivery commitments with measured performance data.
- Partner with the Principal Operations Engineer, Network, to ensure technical standards are met on schedule at every site.
- Travel 50%.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience running network deployment or infrastructure delivery programs at scale, where missed turn-up dates cost capacity.
- Deep knowledge of networks, including structured cabling, optics, carrier circuit timelines, switch and router deployment, and integration slip factors.
- Ability to build activation or readiness frameworks from scratch, defining gates and acceptance criteria.
- Experience quarterbacking across engineering, deployment, supply chain, and external partners without owning any of them.
- Track corrective actions and vendor performance to closure in live reporting.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex delivery problems into clear decisions and next actions.
- Bonus: Experience in hyperscale or large colocation network deployment (100k+ endpoint fabrics), hardware supply chain and RMA program ownership, program management credentials (PMP, PgMP), and tooling/scripting for fleet-scale tracking (Python, Jira/Smartsheet automation, custom dashboards).
Fluidstack operates with a unique culture of autonomy, urgency, and first-principles reasoning. You will be expected to:
- Be a barrel: Full autonomy, own end-to-end scope, and operate outside your core role without permission.
- Drive insane urgency: Push everything forward as fast as possible.
- Reason from first principles: Challenge assumptions and avoid analogy thinking.
- Love the game: Embrace the intensity and long hours required to push the frontier of AI.
- Build something that matters: Focus on projects with global impact.
