Your Role

Hostinger is seeking a Linux System Administrator to oversee, maintain, automate, and support their growing global infrastructure. You will collaborate with System, Software, and Network engineers, continuously learn, and grow into top-level talent.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor one of the largest hosting infrastructures, including physical and virtual servers, and data-center-level networking, ensuring quick responses to any issues.

• Handle incidents end-to-end: response, resolution, communication, and post-mortems to prevent future occurrences.

• Develop and refine alerting systems using Prometheus and Alertmanager to filter out noise and ensure critical alerts are noticed.

• Work hands-on with Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform to automate and secure the infrastructure you manage.

• Coordinate with the Infrastructure Monitoring team in Kaunas and Vilnius to ensure continuous coverage.

Key Success Factors

• Possess solid Linux system administration experience, including managing physical and virtual servers.

• Have experience with incident management, including response, resolution, communication, and post-mortems.

• Be comfortable troubleshooting data-center-level networking.

• Be proficient with Prometheus and Alertmanager for metrics and alerting.

• Have excellent written communication skills for complex technical topics.

• Actively ask questions and provide constructive feedback.

• Document everything thoroughly, as the next person on shift depends on it.

Team Environment

You will be part of the Infrastructure Monitoring team based in Indonesia, working closely with a small, tight-knit group. This team collaborates with counterparts in Kaunas and Vilnius to ensure seamless coverage. Daily interactions include data center technicians, systems and network engineers, and service teams, providing a comprehensive view of the infrastructure.
