SysAdmins Manager - Web Hosting Team (Indonesia)

Join Hostinger's Product team as SysAdmins Manager and lead the Web Hosting SysAdmin team in Indonesia. The team maintains 1,600+ bare-metal hosting servers across 16+ data centers, covering the Asia-Pacific daytime window of our 24/7 global rotation, collaborating closely with Lithuanian and Brazilian SysAdmin teams.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. About half of your time is technical: you operate, debug, and ship alongside engineers. The other half focuses on people: hiring, coaching, team health, and setting them up for success.

You will own the team's shift coverage and incident response but are not personally on rotation or on-call. You will work closely with engineering, developers, Customer Success, and product managers.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead the Indonesian Web Hosting SysAdmin team and manage shift coverage, designing the rotation schedule.
• Handle incident response within your window, including acknowledgment, customer communication, postmortems, and follow-ups within SLA.
• Act as the escalation point for Customer Success on complex hosting and security cases.
• Stay hands-on across a fleet running CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, cPanel/WHM, and MariaDB, diagnosing, optimizing, and fixing issues.
• Deliver long-term engineering and automation using Ansible/AWX, Prometheus, and Grafana to reduce repetitive shift work.
• Drive AI adoption in operations, including automated ticket resolution, AI-assisted diagnosis, and faster runbooks.
• Hire, onboard, and coach team members; conduct weekly reporting, team KPIs, and quarterly performance reviews.
• Coordinate daily with the Lithuanian and Brazilian SysAdmin teams, WH engineering, and product teams, making final technical decisions when needed.

Key Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale Linux environments, including database and web-server performance tuning.
• 1+ years of experience leading or mentoring an engineering or sysadmin team, ideally one that operates shifts or on-call.
• Hands-on experience with the web hosting stack: cPanel/WHM, LiteSpeed, Apache or Nginx, MariaDB/MySQL, CloudLinux (LVE, CageFS).
• Understanding of on-premises/bare-metal infrastructure.
• Experience with security hardening and malware response on shared hosting (e.g., Imunify360, Monarx).
• Proficient in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Prior hiring experience and ability to identify strong sysadmin candidates in interviews.
• English proficiency at C1 - C2 level.
• Passionate about Linux, committed to uptime, and focused on clean processes.
