Our mission is to uplift as many communities as possible. We do this through our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare professionals with the workplaces that need amazing workers. This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.

Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company and have been profitable since 2022. We’re the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Knowledge Management Specialist to design, maintain, and continuously improve the frameworks that power our internal healthcare operations. You’ll own the accuracy, structure, and usability of our internal knowledge ecosystem — ensuring that every process, workflow, and SOP helps teams make faster, better-informed decisions.

This role sits at the intersection of operations, documentation, and systems design. You’ll dive deep into how things work, identify where clarity breaks down, and turn complex workflows into precise, usable knowledge. It’s a highly visible individual contributor role with significant operational impact — not a managerial position, but one where your work influences how entire teams function.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and structure complex healthcare workflows into accurate, easy-to-follow SOPs and internal documentation.

  • Audit and refine our knowledge base to eliminate redundancies, close content gaps, and improve accessibility.

  • Act as the internal knowledge point of contact, identifying recurring questions or knowledge gaps and proactively resolving them through documentation updates or process improvements.

  • Partner with operations and compliance teams to ensure documentation accuracy and alignment with real-world processes.

  • Continuously improve how our teams access and use internal knowledge, proposing structural or systemic enhancements.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in knowledge management, process documentation, or operational enablement — ideally in healthcare, tech, or other regulated industries.

  • Proven ability to turn complex, technical processes into clear, actionable documentation.

  • Strong systems-thinking mindset and an analytical approach to process design.

  • Hands-on experience with tools like Confluence, Notion, Zendesk, and Google Workspace.

  • Detail-oriented and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple documentation and improvement projects simultaneously.

System Requirements

  • Stable wired internet connection (15+ Mbps)

  • Modern computer meeting or exceeding: i5 8th Gen or Ryzen 5 2000 series, 12GB RAM minimum (16GB preferred)

  • Noise-canceling headset, quiet workspace, and power backup

Why This Role Matters

Your work ensures that every operational decision across the organization rests on a solid foundation of accurate, accessible knowledge. As one of the first hires dedicated purely to knowledge systems and process clarity, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our teams learn, execute, and scale.

What Success Looks Like

  • Teams can find precise, up-to-date information with minimal friction.

  • SOPs are clear, consistent, and aligned with real-world execution.

  • You become the go-to person for clarity and structure in operational documentation.

Hiring Process

You’ll complete a short practical exercise designed to assess how you structure and communicate complex information clearly and logically.

Quick Note on Scammers: Clipboard would never ask you for money or your bank details to participate in our hiring process.

Clipboard Health is an innovative healthcare staffing platform and digital talent marketplace that connects nurses and allied health professionals with short-staffed healthcare facilities. Founded in 2016 by Wei Deng and backed by heavyweight investors like Sequoia Capital and IVP, the company is on a mission to solve the chronic understaffing and burnout crisis in the US healthcare system. Under the hood, the platform functions as a highly flexible, two-sided marketplace. It empowers independent healthcare professionals to browse open shifts, build their own schedules, and get paid instantly upon clocking out. At the same time, it provides medical facilities with immediate access to a vast, vetted supply network to seamlessly fill short and long-term staffing gaps. Their primary target audience spans independent nurses, nursing assistants, and medical facilities—including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care centers—struggling with high turnover and strict patient-to-staff ratios. What sets Clipboard Health apart in the traditional healthcare staffing industry is its purely tech-driven, on-demand operating model; they eliminate the friction of traditional agencies, giving nurses full control over their careers while ensuring facilities can rapidly maintain high standards of patient care.
