As an Infrastructure Manager within Civica's Infrastructure Services team, you will lead a geographically distributed team across the UK and India, responsible for delivering secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure services that underpin Civica's global operations. This is a critical leadership role for an experienced infrastructure professional who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional people management and delivery capabilities.

You will lead a team of Infrastructure Engineers and Senior Infrastructure Engineers, managing operational excellence, service reliability, infrastructure projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex hybrid technology environment. Balancing strategic transformation programs with day-to-day operational demands, you will ensure the business has the robust infrastructure foundation it needs to operate effectively every day.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in Civica's wider IT transformation journey, including major initiatives such as data center exit programs, cloud modernisation, infrastructure optimisation, automation, and resilience improvements. You will also lead the delivery of cutting-edge infrastructure projects leveraging Microsoft Azure, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies, containerized platforms, and emerging AI-enabled infrastructure capabilities.

As a people leader, you will manage and develop a growing international team, fostering high performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning while navigating changing business priorities, critical incidents, project delivery deadlines, and operational challenges.

Requirements

Your key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop a geographically distributed Infrastructure team across the UK, India, and APAC.
• Manage priorities, resources, and delivery across projects, operations, incidents, and escalations.
• Drive operational excellence across Azure, hybrid infrastructure, networking, storage, backup, monitoring, automation, and resilience services.
• Lead critical infrastructure incident response, service recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure infrastructure services meet quality, security, governance, and operational standards.
• Support cloud transformation, data center exit, M&A integration, and infrastructure modernisation programs.
• Promote automation, service optimisation, FinOps, and capacity management best practices.
• Collaborate with Security, IAM, Network Services, Helpdesk, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise priorities.
• Manage team performance, capability development, and workforce planning.
• Report on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and operational performance.

• Leading teams through transformation, migration, data center exit, or M&A initiatives.
• Improving service reliability, operational maturity, and engineering practices.
• Working with Security, Architecture, IAM, and Operations teams to manage delivery and risk.
• Knowledge of FinOps, resilience, disaster recovery, backup, and capacity planning.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, automation, and platform services.
• Building high-performing, accountable, and inclusive engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience leading Infrastructure, Cloud, Platform Engineering, or IT Operations teams in enterprise environments.
• Proven success managing geographically distributed teams, operational services, and project delivery.
• Strong experience in resource, capacity, risk, and dependency management.
• Working knowledge of Azure, hybrid infrastructure, automation, resilience, disaster recovery, and service management.
• Relevant cloud, infrastructure, management, or project delivery certifications desirable.
