Position Overview
We are looking for GL Accountants to support us in strengthening core finance operations, enhancing accounting processes, and ensuring high‑quality financial delivery. This role blends advanced finance and accounting processes with participation in transitions of financial, tax, or accounting activities from various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Operations: Support General Ledger processes and contribute directly to monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance and non‑finance teams, as well as external providers, to maintain and enhance shared processes, tools, and reporting activities.
- Compliance & Audit Governance: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, internal and external audit requirements, and local regulatory standards.
- Continuous Optimization: Strengthen financial processes and internal controls through continuous improvement initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Strategic Project Execution: Participate in local, regional, and global finance projects as needed, acting as an active advocate of the finance function within the organization.
- Process Transitioning: Depending on your experience, take part in transitioning finance, tax, or accounting processes from European entities to Poland and support their stabilization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A formal degree in finance or accounting.
- Professional accounting qualifications (such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA, or CMA) are highly valued.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and deep comfort working with complex financial data and reporting tools.
- Language Command: Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages such as French, German, Italian, or Dutch are considered a strong advantage.
- Experience working in an international environment, preferably within SSC/BSC structures.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, a proactive mindset, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to propose practical improvements.
- Exceptional organization, discipline, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
