This role focuses on **estimating** and **design support** for commercial landscaping projects, requiring **3+ years of hands-on experience** in landscaping, grounds maintenance, horticulture, or landscape architecture.
Core Responsibilities:
- Review site plans, specs, and photos to accurately scope landscaping and maintenance work
- Build detailed cost estimates for **materials, plants, labor, equipment, and timelines**
- Deliver proposals within **72 hours** of quote requests—speed is critical
- Track every estimate from request to delivery in the CRM
Design Support:
- Apply landscape/design expertise to proposals, including **plant selection, layout logic, and property-specific needs**
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in scopes to prevent client follow-up questions
- Proactively estimate high-fit properties before client requests
Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with onsite sales, estimators, and field leadership (remote but integrated)
- Prepare for site visits with property research, past scopes, photos, and notes
- Ensure no proposal gaps between quote requests and delivery
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, horticulture, or landscape architecture
- Ability to read and translate site plans, specs, and property details into scope and cost
- Professional-level written and spoken English
- Availability during core U.S. business hours
- Comfort with performance-based compensation (even without sales experience)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Education/experience in architecture, landscape architecture, or design
- Experience with **commercial landscaping/maintenance contracts** (not just residential)
- Familiarity with estimating software, CRM systems, or tools like **AutoCAD or SketchUp**
This role is ideal for those with deep landscaping knowledge who want to turn expertise into **fast, accurate estimates** that win contracts.
Not a fit for: cold-calling roles or candidates without hands-on landscape/green-space experience.
