The Role

At Terrific, every role directly impacts how we grow from product to revenue to customer experience. We’re building the next generation of social commerce through live shopping powered by real-time data and AI.

Our technology brings shoppable video, live shopping, interactive timelines, polls, and product carousels directly onto a merchant’s website or app.

We are seeking a Commerce Integrations Lead/Sales Engineer to help us connect Terrific to the wider commerce ecosystem—and build the systems that make those connections faster every time.

The Opportunity

This is not a role where you’ll inherit a finished playbook. You’ll help write it.

You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to solve the technical problems that determine whether a customer can launch, how quickly they see value, and how easily we can support the next merchant.

Your responsibilities will span:

  • Investigating how global retailers’ carts work across multiple markets.
  • Building lightweight integrations.
  • Shaping live commercial opportunities.
  • Automating technical-discovery processes.
  • Preparing apps for commerce marketplaces.

You’ll collaborate with teammates and customers across Latin America, Europe, Israel, and the United States, gaining visibility into the full journey—from the first sales conversation through integration, launch, and ongoing performance.

If you enjoy bridging technology, customers, and commercial problems—and want the freedom to build rather than maintain—this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact.

What You’ll Build

Terrific needs to connect with the platforms and tools merchants already use. You’ll help expand and improve integrations across:

  • Shopify
  • VTEX
  • Adobe Commerce/Magento
  • WooCommerce
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • BigCommerce
  • Tiendanube/Nuvemshop
  • Wix
  • PrestaShop
  • Shopware
  • Custom and headless commerce environments
  • Native mobile applications

Additionally, you’ll explore integrations with platforms such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Gorgias, Zendesk, Yotpo, Segment, Zapier, Google Merchant Center, and Meta Commerce Manager.

Over time, you’ll help Terrific build a stronger marketplace presence, a more repeatable onboarding process, and a technical integration layer that can scale across customers and markets.

What You’ll Own

  • Investigating merchant websites, applications, and commerce stacks.
  • Understanding product catalogs, variants, carts, and checkout flows.
  • Assessing technical feasibility for active commercial opportunities.
  • Turning customer requirements into clear technical recommendations.
  • Building, testing, and improving integrations across major e-commerce platforms.
  • Helping merchants move from signed agreement to their first live Terrific experience.
  • Working directly with customer engineers and internal commercial teams.
  • Supporting technical discovery, proposals, security reviews, and proofs of concept.
  • Improving the reliability of product feeds, event tracking, cart actions, and embeds.
  • Publishing and maintaining Terrific apps across relevant commerce marketplaces.
  • Building tools, scripts, automations, and AI agents that make integration work faster.
  • Turning repeated customer friction into clear Product and Engineering priorities.
  • Creating documentation and processes that will support future customers and teammates.

You won’t be expected to solve everything alone. You will be expected to take ownership, bring the right people together, and move the problem forward.

Who You Are

You’re technical, curious, and commercially aware. You want to understand why something matters to the customer—not only how it works in the code.

You’re comfortable opening DevTools, tracing an API request, reading someone else’s implementation, and building a practical solution. You can move from a technical conversation with engineers to a commercial conversation with Sales or a customer without losing the thread.

You communicate clearly, ask good questions, and know when to challenge an assumption.

You don’t need every process to be defined before you begin. You like taking something that is currently handled differently each time and turning it into a system the company can reuse.

You also understand that speed and judgment matter in a startup. Sometimes the right answer is a full integration. Sometimes it is a simpler path that gets the customer live this week.

How You’ll Use AI

Terrific is AI-native by default. We don’t treat AI as a separate initiative or an occasional productivity tool. We use it as part of how we investigate, build, document, and improve our work.

In this role, you’ll have the freedom to use AI to:

  • Accelerate technical discovery and research.
  • Generate and test scripts.
  • Automate repetitive integration tasks.
  • Build internal agents and tools.
  • Improve documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor integrations and identify problems earlier.
  • Help non-technical teams access technical answers faster.

We’re interested in what you can build with AI—not whether you use a particular tool. The goal is to create leverage for the whole company, not simply complete your own work faster.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of hands-on development or technical integration experience.
  • Production experience with at least 2 major e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience working with APIs, product feeds, webhooks, authentication, carts, or checkout flows.
  • Ability to read unfamiliar code, write working scripts, and debug browser or network behavior.
  • Experience working directly with customers, merchants, or external technical teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Good judgment about effort, risk, and commercial value.
  • Comfort working independently within a distributed, international team.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.

Experience with live shopping, social commerce, video commerce, marketplace apps, or large international retailers is a strong advantage.

French is valuable for our EMEA accounts.

Success Looks Like

In your first months, you will:

  • Build a clear picture of Terrific's current integration landscape.
  • Take ownership of live customer integration work.
  • Create a repeatable approach to technical discovery and feasibility.
  • Reduce the time between signed agreement and customer launch.
  • Improve how Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success work together.
  • Move new platform integrations into production.
  • Help define which marketplace and partner integrations we build next.
  • Introduce automations and AI-powered workflows that save the team time.
  • Create a roadmap for how Terrific's integration ecosystem should grow.

Success is not following a process perfectly.

Success is leaving us with a better process than the one you joined.

Why This Role Is Different

Many technical integration roles begin with a ticket and end when the ticket is closed. This one begins with a customer opportunity.

You’ll see how technical decisions affect sales, launch timelines, customer experience, and revenue. You’ll work across teams and countries, with direct access to the people making product and commercial decisions.

You’ll have meaningful freedom to decide how problems should be approached, which tools should be built, and what Terrific's integration function should become.

There is no process set in stone—and that is the opportunity.

Required

  • Based in Latin America—preferably Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, or Colombia—or within a compatible EMEA time zone.
  • Available for a full-time independent-contractor engagement.
  • Able to work remotely with teammates and customers across global time zones.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on development or technical integration experience.
  • Production experience with e-commerce platforms, APIs, or merchant technology.

Terrific operates as a global company, and English is our primary business language. Interviews, documentation, and regular internal communication will be conducted in English.
