About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of a new, fast-growing, and highly visible team at Angi. The Director of Large Pro Operations will lead a team of Senior Managers (and their workstreams) while also personally owning the highest-stakes strategic priorities for our largest pro partners. You'll set the strategic agenda for the function, build the frameworks your team uses to structure problems, and be the connective tissue between Sales, Account Management, Product, Operations, Analytics, and senior leadership.
You will report to the SVP of Large Pro and serve as a critical thought partner at the leadership table — translating ambiguous, high-level priorities into a clear strategic roadmap, and executing on those quickly and effectively. You'll be expected to know our Large Pros and their needs as well as the operational teams that support them inside and out, and to build a team that operates the same way.
This role is both a builder and a coach: roughly half your time will go to owning strategic initiatives directly, and half to developing, unblocking, and setting direction for the Senior Managers who report to you.
Beyond internal strategy, this person and their team will get directly in the field — identifying where the growth opportunity sits within a specific pro relationship, coaching the Account Manager or salesperson on how to approach it, and in some cases presenting directly to the pro to influence sales and upsell outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
As a leader of the team:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Senior Managers, setting clear goals, giving regular feedback, and growing their capability to own larger and more ambiguous problems over time
- Set the strategic agenda and prioritization for the Large Pro Strategy function — deciding what the team works on and why, and defending trade-offs to senior stakeholders
- Build and refine the frameworks, processes, and standards of rigor the team uses (data diligence, business case structure, presentation quality) so output is consistently sharp regardless of who's leading a given workstream
- Represent the team's work to the SVP of Large Pro, operational leadership, and cross-functional executive stakeholders, owning the narrative on progress and impact
- Hire and onboard new team members as the function scales
As an individual contributor:
- Independently own the most complex or highest-visibility strategic initiatives from concept through execution and success measurement
- Dive into data to identify opportunities for improvement, build business cases, and drive change via large cross-functional projects
- Work directly with stakeholders at the highest-value customers to solve problems that unlock business growth, and develop strategies to apply learnings across the Large Pro network
- Program manage large strategic changes that span multiple teams and months, building cross-functional buy-in and providing updates to senior leadership
- Proactively leverage GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to synthesize complex partner performance data and cross-functional insights, streamlining strategic proposals and materials
In direct partner engagement:
- Identify where the strategic opportunity lies within a specific Large Pro account — pricing, product adoption, upsell, retention risk — using data and account context
- Partner with the Account Manager or salesperson to shape the strategy and talk track for that opportunity before it goes to the pro
- Get directly in front of pros when it matters — presenting strategy, data, or a recommendation in-person or on a call to influence sales and upsell outcomes
- Act as a force-multiplier for the sales/AM team by showing them how to spot and structure these opportunities themselves, not just solving it for them once
About You
- A leader who can both set direction and roll up their sleeves — you don't see people management and individual ownership as competing priorities
- Self-starter; owner; someone who drives projects (and people) to completion
- First-class communication skills, especially translating complexity into a clear narrative for senior audiences
- Data-driven, with a strong bias for action
- Thrives with ambiguity and comfortable building structure where none exists
- Team player who collaborates and influences effectively across the organization, including with peers senior to their direct reports
- Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 8+ years of professional experience in consulting, finance, strategy, business development, or operations, including prior experience managing or leading people
- Demonstrated experience gathering data from various sources and driving strategic insight and decision-making at a senior level
- Management consulting experience at a top firm strongly preferred
- Prior experience building or scaling a team or function is a strong plus
- Startup experience is a plus
- Strong interest in Angi, home services, marketplaces, and product-driven organizations

Angi (operating under angi.com, legally Angi Inc., formerly ANGI Homeservices Inc.) is the premier, enterprise-grade digital home services marketplace, local business directory pioneer, and consumer-to-pro matching powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity lead generation, project scoping, and upfront fulfillment layer for homeowners and millions of independent residential service professionals globally. Founded initially in 1995 as Angie List by legendary entrepreneurs Angie Hicks and William S. Oesterle, the platform underwent a category-defining structural evolution in 2017 when internet conglomerate IAC acquired the asset and merged it with rival platform HomeAdvisor to create a publicly traded digital marketplace behemoth. Moving far beyond traditional, passive printed local directories or unvetted community bulletin boards, Angi natively unifies instant online appointment booking engines, transparent pre-priced service configurations, programmatic contractor background screenings, and full-scale contractor business management suites (including Angi Leads and Angi Services for Pros) into a single high-availability transactional ecosystem. Processing more than 30 million residential service requests annually and maintaining an active nationwide digital footprint of over 200,000 highly rated service professionals across 500 distinct home improvement categories—spanning high-concurrency trades like plumbing, electrical engineering, roofing, and full-scale kitchen remodeling—the infrastructure commands a dominant market share in the consumer services arena. Currently generating over $1 billion in annual trailing revenue, the public entity trades on the NASDAQ exchange under the ticker symbol ANGI, backed by corporate oversight from IAC. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes sophisticated automated matching algorithms, deep geo-spatial routing mechanics, and localized demand-generation logic built to analyze high-volume neighborhood review data and match consumer queries with localized professional capacity without losing operational velocity. What sets Angi apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, opaque local contractor matching with absolute pricing predictability, verified review transparency, and home improvement velocity; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive marketplace tech stacks and the immediate, everyday property management needs of over 150 million historical users, the company remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic home tech infrastructure and worldwide digital marketplace transformation.
