About CertifyOS
CertifyOS is building the data infrastructure that powers modern healthcare. Today, healthcare organizations rely on fragmented and outdated provider data, creating unnecessary administrative work, regulatory risk, and higher costs across the system. We’re solving that problem.
Our API-first platform automates provider licensing, enrollment, credentialing, and network monitoring by connecting directly to hundreds of primary data sources. We help healthcare organizations maintain accurate, compliant, and reliable provider networks at scale.
Our vision is simple: One API. One provider ID. Frictionless provider data.
We’re backed by leading investors and built by a team with deep experience in provider data systems. At CertifyOS, we value authenticity, accountability, collaboration, results, and openness to feedback. We’re building a high-ownership team focused on solving real infrastructure problems that impact millions of patients.
About the Role:
As Credentialing Team Lead, you will lead a production-focused pod of Operations Analysts and Credentialing Specialists, owning the day-to-day execution of credentialing operations for your pod's clients. You will be responsible for driving team performance, ensuring compliance and quality, and keeping your pod's work aligned with company-wide objectives. This role requires a balance of hands-on operational ownership, direct people leadership, and proactive problem-solving to keep your pod scaling effectively.
This is a high-visibility role that owns outcomes for a subset of clients and reports into the Credentialing Manager.
This is a fully remote role aligned to EST hours.
What You’ll Do
Production Management & Business Continuity
- Own core operational metrics for your pod — speed, quality, and efficiency — ensuring SLAs are consistently met and quality remains high.
- Monitor turnaround times and quality metrics daily and weekly; drive corrective actions to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Identify process gaps, document SOPs, and lead internal training to close them.
- Manage escalations for your pod, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly and prevent repeat problems.
- Oversee ongoing monitoring and management of credentialing expirables within your pod.
- Support workload balancing and capacity planning as volume grows, flagging risks to your manager early.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve escalations, streamline workflows, and improve operational outcomes.
- Communicate performance insights upward to your manager, downward to your team, and laterally to peer Team Leads to keep everyone aligned.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and operational analyses to support decision-making.
- Support direct client engagement where needed, representing your pod's work accurately and professionally.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and manage a pod of Credentialing Specialists and Operations Analysts to ensure timely and accurate file processing.
- Coach, mentor, and train team members to strengthen credentialing knowledge and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee workflows to ensure adherence to NCQA standards, state guidelines, and client requirements.
- Conduct daily standups and weekly performance reviews to track throughput, quality, and key metrics.
- Facilitate performance reviews and deliver performance conversations directly to your team members.
- Support onboarding of new hires, provide guidance during training, and participate in hiring for your pod.
- Identify attrition risks on your team and proactively raise retention concerns to your manager.
- Foster a strong team culture, driving collaboration, engagement, and a high-performance mindset within your pod.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of professional US-healthtech + Credentialing experience, including 2+ years managing a team.
- Proven ability to lead a team of 5+ in a production-driven environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Strong client engagement and stakeholder management experience.
- A metrics-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with long-term operational strategy.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage daily performance metrics and drive accountability.
- Knowledge of credentialing processes, provider data management, and healthcare compliance (preferred).
Nice to Have:
• 1–2 years of experience in credentialing, provider enrollment, or healthcare operations.
• Knowledge of NCQA guidelines and state/federal credentialing regulations.
• Skills in SQL, Excel Macros, or related analytical tools.
