About the role: Sanctuary is hiring a Sourcing, Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to source construction materials from manufacturers and suppliers overseas, manage purchasing, and ensure everything reaches their project sites in Texas on time, on budget, and to specification.

This role is central to how Sanctuary builds. Many of their materials are chosen for health and sustainability, such as non-toxic finishes, clean water systems, and low-EMF components. You will work closely with architects, construction teams, and finance teams to turn material specifications into confirmed orders and delivered shipments.

This is not a role for someone who needs a fixed process handed to them. Sanctuary is a fast-moving startup, and you will often be building vendor lists, trackers, and shipping plans from scratch. They are looking for someone who is highly resourceful, can chase down missing information, negotiate with confidence, and flag risks early.

What you’ll do:

Sourcing and vendor management:

• Identify, evaluate, and shortlist manufacturers and suppliers for construction and building materials, primarily overseas
• Request and compare quotations, samples, and technical data sheets against Sanctuary’s design and material specifications
• Build and maintain an approved vendor list with pricing, lead times, certifications, and performance notes
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery commitments with suppliers

Procurement and purchasing:

• Translate material schedules and specifications from architecture and construction teams into purchase orders
• Track every order from quotation to delivery, and keep the team updated on status and risks
• Work with the finance team on budgets, payments, and cost tracking for each project

Logistics and supply chain:

• Coordinate international shipping from suppliers to project sites in Texas, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
• Manage export and import documentation, shipping schedules, and delivery timelines
• Plan orders around construction schedules so materials arrive when the site needs them

Quality and compliance:

• Verify that materials meet Sanctuary’s health, sustainability, and quality standards before they ship
• Arrange pre-shipment inspections and resolve quality issues with suppliers
• Ensure materials meet U.S. building code and certification requirements where applicable

Process building:

• Set up simple, reliable trackers and workflows for sourcing, orders, and shipments
• Find opportunities to reduce costs and lead times as Sanctuary scales to more projects
