Payward, the parent company behind Kraken (one of the world’s longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions), is seeking an Anti-Financial Crime Investigator with a crypto background to join their team.

The Opportunity

• Conducting financial investigations and writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
• Monitor and proactively adjust to volume fluctuations, handling volume surges to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
• Utilize advanced tools and spreadsheet functions (e.g., Google Sheets) for data analysis.
• Focus on multiple priorities, including individual production efforts and ad hoc projects.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of anti-financial crime experience with a crypto background.
• Understanding of compliance operational functions and processes.
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks.
• Familiarity with Google Suite (emphasis on Google Sheets and Google Docs).
• Familiarity and comfort utilizing AI and technology for automation.
• Familiarity with FIU tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, and TRM.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice to Haves

• Financial crime certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA, CRCM, CRC).
• Database and programming skills, including SQL and Python.
