Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialist

The Role

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, headquartered in Lutz, FL, seeks an empathetic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our dynamic team as a Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialist located in the San Antonio or Austin, TX area.

The Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialist collaborates with our veterinarians spanning the nation to help educate new, underserved, and expanding markets on Lap of Love’s services. These services include in-home euthanasia, hospice, telehospice, and pet loss support. The focus is on educating and gaining trust within the veterinary and pet parent community through:

• Visiting clinics and delivering educational materials to veterinary practices and pet parents
• Attending veterinary conferences and special events to promote Lap of Love through booths, speaking engagements, and virtual/digital channels
• Conducting virtual meetings, social media outreach, and email campaigns during off-travel times

This role requires up to 75% travel as you will represent Lap of Love in markets across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Travel to veterinary conferences and clinics across the United States (75% travel)
• Educate veterinary practices on the benefits of recommending Lap of Love for in-home end-of-life care
• Visit a minimum of 3 Lap of Love markets per month to deliver educational materials
• Provide innovative ideas, trends, and tips to strengthen relationships both in-person and remotely
• Attend national conferences and events to promote Lap of Love through booths, speaking engagements, and special events
• Report and track results from visits, events, and meetings to assess campaign effectiveness

Requirements

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of sales or outreach experience, preferably in the veterinary industry
• Ability to live within 45 minutes of a major airport
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to audience needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build new relationships in the veterinary industry
• Proven prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to work with limited supervision
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and G Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendars, Google Sheets), as well as Customer Relationship Management systems
• Ability to learn proprietary Lap of Love software
• Confident, independent thinker and self-starter
• Self-driven, collaborative, and motivated to perform profound work
• Excellent listening and critical thinking skills

• Strong leadership skills
