The Sr. Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in driving sales development, building the pipeline, increasing partner engagement, and supporting account-based selling. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal oversight to drive the growth of GuidePoint Security. The Sr Specialist will be responsible for connecting marketing activities to revenue outcomes by working cross-functionally with sales leadership and other partners. Activities are based on the region’s marketing plan that is developed in collaboration with sales and marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing leadership to help execute the region’s marketing plan.

  • Drive the development and execution of assigned regional marketing campaigns and events from concept through post-event analysis, with minimal direction from leadership.

  • Own sponsorship coordination for events, including partner outreach, negotiation, execution, and post-event deliverable fulfillment

  • Develop and execute campaign performance reporting; track KPIs in Marketo, identify trends, and recommend optimizations based on data.

  • Translate sales priorities and account-based selling strategies into targeted marketing programs that support pipeline growth.

  • Produce and oversee the creation of marketing assets, ensuring brand consistency and message alignment across channels.

  • Facilitate lead funnel management and proactively flag gaps or bottlenecks to leadership with recommended solutions.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with vendor/partner marketing contacts to expand co-marketing opportunities.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for junior team members on tools, processes, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to inform the region's marketing plan with insights from campaign performance and field feedback.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience using Marketo and Salesforce required.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, event management, communications, business, or a related field.

  • Experience with G Suite and spreadsheet skills.

  • Customer service mindset.

  • Ability to measure and report the performance of marketing campaigns.

  • Demonstrated excellence with written communications, project, and time management.

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel up to 50% for local events within the North Central Region (some events may be hosted in the evening or require weekend travel)

  • This role is based in Chicagoland, with travel primarily throughout Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, and Iowa, with additional travel to other North Central states as needed.

  • Must be willing to come into the Hinsdale office as needed, typically 1–2 days per week.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work.

  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day.

  • Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
