The Sr. Strategic Delivery Coordinator will lead and drive the delivery of complex Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) and Threat Intelligence engagements. This role involves independently managing end-to-end engagement lifecycles, mentoring junior team members, and championing process improvement initiatives to deliver exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders.

About the DFIR & Threat Intelligence Practice:

The DFIR & Threat Intelligence Practice helps organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents, converting front-line experience into intelligence that keeps clients ahead of threats. Six specialized teams collaborate across the full incident lifecycle, from readiness planning through response, recovery, and threat research. They partner with client security teams, cyber insurance carriers, breach counsel, and GuidePoint’s sales organizations to minimize dwell time and limit business impact.

The six teams include:

  • DFIR (Digital Forensics & Incident Response) — Investigates breaches, conducts forensics, containment, and eradication when incidents are confirmed or suspected.
  • IRA (Incident Response Advisory) — Prepares organizations for incidents through IR planning, tabletop exercises, Blue Team enablement, and program maturity assessments.
  • GRIT (GuidePoint Research and Intelligence Team) — Conducts original threat research and intelligence, driving investigations, Threat Actor communications, and advisory services.
  • SD (Strategic Delivery) — Manages delivery operations to ensure engagements are staffed, on track, and consistent.
  • R&R (Recovery & Restoration) — Rebuilds environments post-incident to return clients to safe, operational states.
  • Insurance & Counsel — Bridges carriers and breach counsel through claims and legal processes.

What sets us apart: An integrated practice ensures seamless client transitions through the entire lifecycle, including complex aspects like GRIT’s Threat Actor communications, R&R’s full environment restoration, and coordination with insurers and counsel. GRIT’s research feeds live investigations, ensuring responses reflect current adversary operations. Strong carrier and counsel relationships make GuidePoint a trusted partner in the incident response community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex, high-visibility DFIR & GRIT engagements end-to-end, from scoping and initiation through closure, with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for critical engagements and client concerns, coordinating resolutions across technical teams, Practice Leadership, and Account Executives.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate engagement risks, scope changes, and delivery blockers, escalating to the Strategic Delivery Manager/Practice Lead with recommended actions.
  • Coordinate and ensure the quality and consistency of comprehensive engagement deliverables, performing substantive reviews before client delivery.
  • Manage engagement financials, including hours tracking, burn rate monitoring, and budget adherence.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders by serving as a consistent point of contact and leading client-facing meetings.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand client engagements or recommend additional GuidePoint services.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of repeatable delivery processes, automation, orchestration, and standardization initiatives.
  • Define and track key delivery metrics and KPIs, generating reporting and analysis for Practice Leadership.
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to Delivery Coordinators, helping them develop technical knowledge and delivery skills.
  • Conduct engagement debriefs, facilitate lessons-learned sessions, and assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Partner with Strategic Delivery Manager/Practice Lead and other Leadership on capacity planning, resource forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Account Executives, Finance/Billing, and Technical Consulting teams.
  • Communicate proactively with Practice Leadership regarding engagement status, team health, risk posture, and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay at the forefront of the information security industry by continuously strengthening relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in project management, delivery coordination, or engagement management within a cybersecurity consulting or managed services environment.
  • 2+ years of direct experience working in or supporting Digital Forensics & Incident Response and/or Threat Intelligence operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements end-to-end in a consulting services model.
  • Experience with DFIR and Threat Intelligence methodologies, processes, and tooling.
  • Proven track record of client relationship management and stakeholder communication at both technical and executive levels.
  • Embraces emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance productivity and drive business outcomes.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Strong understanding of network traffic analysis, host forensics, malware handling/triage, log review, attack surface monitoring, dark web intelligence, threat modeling, and incident response lifecycle methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of industry-related solutions including EDR, NDR, XDR, SIEM, FW, NGAV, Velociraptor, OSQuery, and others.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, CAPM, SANS GIAC (e.g., GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GREM, GCTI), CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience designing and implementing process improvements, delivery frameworks, or operational workflows.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products and project management/collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Salesforce/Certinia).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
