About Semperis: Semperis is an elite, high-growth cybersecurity innovator recognized by the Inc. 5000 as one of America’s Fastest-Growing Cybersecurity Companies. We build specialized, multi-tenant identity security and operational resilience software engineered to defend enterprise-scale directory environments from devastating cyber threats. Named a DUNS 100 Top Startup and a multi-year Inc. Best Workplace awardee, Semperis operates at the front lines of identity-driven threat detection and automated active repository recovery, empowering federal defense agencies and Fortune 500 companies to isolate identity parameters safely and outpace modern architectural exploits.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly autonomous, infrastructure-fluent, and relationship-driven Senior Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales to join our distributed global Sales Engineering division under a flexible remote layout based specifically within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. In this high-stakes, client-facing technical leadership seat, you will claim absolute pre-sales technical ownership, architecture mapping, and proof-of-concept (PoC) validation accountability for our enterprise identity defense portfolios. Shifting completely away from non-regulated office documentation filing, isolated backend software system script coding, or routine customer service helpdesk ticket log logging, you will lead an active directory diagnostics, enterprise threat mitigation, and interactive corporate demo laboratory—partnering face-to-face with corporate security executives, internal engineering pods, and regional sales directors. This position requires an identity and access management (IAM) authority with 5-10 years of software or infrastructure experience who handles directory parameters fluidly natively using Sales Representative paradigms, administers massive user pools safely, designs custom technical proposals aligned with enterprise ROI models, and commits to a broad professional flexibility to travel up to 50% for direct customer events and federal briefing loops.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Solution Governance: Lead and execute comprehensive technical sales cycles, delivering compelling interactive product demonstrations and technical presentations natively utilizing Sales Representative methods.
- Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Instrumentation: Design, stand up, and manage live proof-of-concept software installations and sandbox architectures directly inside complex client infrastructure networks.
- Enterprise Directory Discovery: Leverage consultative selling mechanics to investigate customer directory vulnerabilities, identifying critical pain points associated with large-scale access control systems.
- Strategic Solution Integration: Partner closely with regional Sales Directors to author tailored requirements documents, multi-tier financial ROI metrics, and technical proposals aligned with corporate goals.
- Cross-Functional Architecture Feedback: Convey and document granular customer technical feedback, security obstacles, and emerging market data directly to centralized engineering and development cells.
- Field Mobility & Event Presence: Maintain expert product literacy and represent the Semperis brand confidently at major public events, federal security conferences, and on-site customer briefing rooms, travelling up to 50% of the time.
- Account Transition Coordination: Enforce meticulous documentation tracking to ensure all pre-sales solution choices are cleanly transitioned to downstream support consultants or project managers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-10 years of proven, successful professional history operating within an Enterprise IT infrastructure, Solutions Architecture, Technical Pre-Sales Engineering, or closely matching systems advisory capacity.
- Expert Directory Services Command: Deep, hands-on production history administering, architecting, or managing extensive directory frameworks (such as Active Directory or Okta environments) scaling over at least 10,000 active users.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating software client discovery loops, delivering technical software presentations, and executing active proofs-of-concept directly with corporate business stakeholders.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication strengths in English, with an established capacity to translate complex technical cybersecurity rules into high-impact business outcomes for non-technical executives.
- Field Mobility Parameters: Absolute willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50% of operational time for localized client interactions, federal briefings, and regional marketing events.
- Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified sales engineering professionals residing permanently within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area.
- Possess a formal Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior technical experience engineering or implementing solutions within Information Security (Infosec) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) product spaces.
- Practical deployment or administration history handling cloud-based identity components across Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) or Office 365 configurations.
- Possess an active Federal Security Clearance, serving as an operational asset to accelerate engagements with government clients.
- Proven background speaking publicly or representing technology brands as an anchor presenter at enterprise industry forums.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier US Enterprise Cybersecurity Package: A highly competitive annual base salary calibrated precisely to your pre-sales architecture history, supplemented by attractive sales commissions, global reward programs, and comprehensive corporate features.
- Flexible workspace structure based in proximity to the nation’s defense capital, matching a hybrid model with balanced onsite sessions.
- Direct Frontier Cybersecurity Credentials: Unique professional growth milestones achieved by directing identity protection models for a high-performance innovator trusted by global enterprise networks.
- Comprehensive health preservation benefits protecting employees, providing premium coverage across Medical, Dental, and Vision frameworks alongside wellness structures.
- Access to robust continuous development funds, structured industry training programs, and rapid merit-based advancement tracks within a global tech icon.
