Position Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic, business-fluent, and leadership-driven Senior Director, Country Manager, Poland to spearhead our commercial operations and expansion infrastructure under a permanent, full-time remote configuration based within Poland. Reporting directly to the Vice President, General Manager, Mid-Sized Markets of Europe, you will claim absolute P&L ownership, market access design, and cross-functional team build-out accountability across the Polish territory. Shifting completely away from routine standalone data entry transcribing, generic helpdesk IT ticketing, or non-technical support workflows, you will run an active corporate governance, pre-launch market positioning, and distributor contract negotiation laboratory—partnering face-to-face with regional executive boards and local regulatory bodies. This position requires an executive pharmaceutical authority with 15+ years of oncology leadership experience who structures market entry tracks fluidly natively using Project Management paradigms, evaluates pricing and reimbursement parameters cleanly within the Polish pharmaceutical ecosystem, establishes country-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) systematically, and guides cross-functional business cells confidently to accelerate clinical-stage assets to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Country Operations & P&L Governance: Direct, monitor, and optimize the comprehensive profit-and-loss (P&L) balance sheet and operational budgets for Poland, ensuring strategic resource allocation natively utilizing Project Management frameworks.
  • Commercial Launch Engineering: Lead the planning, positioning, and execution of elite product launches across Poland, orchestrating early access programs, pricing, and market access strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Team Building: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing cross-functional country team, collaborating with global functional leaders to align localized operations with corporate milestones.
  • Distributor & Vendor Contract Management: Partner alongside internal Finance, Legal, and Commercial units to manage selection processes and negotiate complex legal agreements with local pharmaceutical distributors.
  • Clinical Site Selection Support: Provide regional operational oversight for clinical trial site selections, enrollment parameters, and quality assurance checkpoints to meet local regulatory thresholds.
  • Regulatory & SOP Compliance: Establish robust country risk management frameworks, compliance baselines, and local SOPs, ensuring all business actions strictly fulfill domestic Polish laws.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Possess a formal Advanced Degree (Master, Ph.D., or MBA) centered within life sciences, business administration, or an identical quantitative executive field.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of verified, progressive professional history operating inside senior leadership positions within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Mandatory Oncology & Territory Expertise: Deep, non-negotiable history launching specialized drugs within the oncology field in Poland, coupled with previous proven experience operating as a Country Manager within the Polish pharmaceutical market.
  • Granular command over the Polish healthcare ecosystem, including in-depth mastery of local market access pathways, pricing mechanisms, and early access structures.
  • Complete bilingual fluency in written and verbal English and Polish languages.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified pharmaceutical executives residing permanently inside Poland.
