Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, scientifically rigorous, and relationship-driven Senior Manager, Medical Science Liaison, Switzerland to join our clinical Medical Affairs cell under a permanent, full-time remote model based within Switzerland. In this high-leverage field-based individual contributor seat, you will act as the vital medical liaison bridging our global clinical research and development pipeline with the Swiss oncology healthcare community. Shifting entirely away from routine consumer-facing commercial marketing campaigns, retail customer support desk ticketing, or isolated software source-code development, you will run an active peer-to-peer scientific dialogue, clinical insight synthesis, and investigator relationship laboratory under the direction of the Medical Director, Switzerland. This position requires an oncology authority holding a doctoral-level scientific or medical degree with 8+ years of industry experience who processes highly complex clinical trial parameters fluidly natively using Research and Medical Affairs paradigms, manages deep collaborations across key opinion leaders (KOLs) and academic centers of excellence, tracks competitive landscape literature systematically, and delivers peerless scientific data presentations confidently to enhance platform visibility at multi-national medical congresses.
Key Responsibilities
- KOL Relationship Governance: Cultivate, strengthen, and manage elite, high-trust peer-to-peer professional relationships with leading oncologists, key opinion leaders, and academic centers of excellence across Switzerland natively utilizing Research methods.
- Scientific Insight Synthesis: Collect, analyze, and document complex clinical field medical insights from healthcare providers, converting raw scientific feedback into structured intelligence maps for internal Clinical Operations and Development cells.
- Clinical Data Dissemination: Articulate multi-layered clinical data profiles, therapeutic variants, and emerging trial results clearly through sophisticated medical presentations and peer-to-peer discussions.
- Congress & Advisory Board Support: Provide comprehensive scientific backstopping during prominent medical conferences, investigator roundtables, and advisory board modules to maximize clinical alignment.
- Cross-Functional Logistics Integration: Partner cross-functionally across internal Compliance, Clinical Operations, Program Management, and Commercial cells to support the tactical execution of approved territory medical roadmaps.
- Compliance & Document Governance: Maintain meticulous, high-quality tracking logs of all field interactions, ensuring total alignment with European pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines and company data protection frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Possess a formal Doctoral Degree (Ph.D., MD, PharmD) centered within a rigorous scientific, biomedical, or clinical medical discipline.
- A minimum of 8+ years of proven professional experience operating inside a Medical Affairs, Field Medical Liaison, Clinical Development, or identical clinical research capacity within the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Deep baseline proficiency evaluating clinical research methodologies, biostatistical models, and drug discovery lifecycle tracks.
- Outstanding presentation and communication strengths in English, with an established capability to translate abstract medical chemistry or trial metrics into clear, actionable narratives.
- Territory Mobility Parameters: Absolute willingness and flexibility to travel up to 60% of operational time across the Swiss territory for synchronized client boardrooms and investigator evaluations.
- Location Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified medical liaison professionals residing permanently inside Switzerland.

- Prior background operating as an active Medical Science Liaison (MSL) directly within the Swiss healthcare infrastructure ecosystem.
- Deep localized domain expertise within the oncology therapeutic arena, with specialized focus areas tracking lung or gastrointestinal (GI) cancers.
