The Senior Director, Cisco Alliance & Practice Development serves as the owner of New Era Technology's global Cisco partnership. This role is responsible for developing and executing the Cisco growth strategy, strengthening executive relationships within Cisco, creating repeatable solution offerings, enabling sales and delivery teams, and driving profitable growth across Cisco's portfolio.

Operating within the Office of the CRO, this leader acts as the bridge between Cisco, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Managed Services, and Executive Leadership to create a scalable Cisco business engine that accelerates revenue, services attach, lifecycle growth, customer success, and joint go-to-market execution.

The role combines strategic alliance management, business development, informing offer creation, sales enablement, and operational leadership to position New Era as Cisco's preferred services partner while maximizing Cisco incentives, funding opportunities, co-sell motions, and market differentiation.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Cisco Alliance Leadership

  • Own New Era's Cisco partner strategy and annual business plan through a strong understanding of our capabilities and service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain executive relationships with Cisco regional and corporate leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for Cisco partnership health, growth, compliance, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and regular executive engagement sessions with Cisco.

Growth & Revenue Expansion

  • Drive revenue growth across Cisco software, hardware, services, lifecycle opportunities, and recurring managed services.
  • Increase Cisco-sourced and Cisco-influenced pipeline.
  • Expand sales adoption of Cisco networking, security, collaboration, observability, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.

Go-To-Market Leadership

  • Develop repeatable Cisco-centric sales plays and solution campaigns.
  • Create integrated marketing programs with Cisco field organizations.
  • Support co-selling motions between Cisco and New Era account teams.
  • Support strategic pursuits and executive customer engagements.

Portfolio & Offer Development

  • Collaborate with business unit leadership to inform and co-create packaged Cisco solution offerings, including but not limited to:
    • Secure Networking
    • Hybrid Work & Collaboration
    • SASE & Zero Trust
    • Cisco Powered Managed Services
  • Align Cisco and New Era extended GTM teams to establish delivery playbooks, pricing guidance, customer profiles, and success metrics for all Cisco-related offerings.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in technology sales, alliance management, business development, or solution leadership.
  • 5+ years working directly with Cisco partner programs and ecosystems.

COMPENTENCY:

  • Strong understanding of Cisco technologies and business models.
  • Experience managing executive-level partner relationships.
  • Demonstrated success creating scalable go-to-market programs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional organizations in matrix environments.

Preferred

  • Experience within a systems integrator, VAR, MSP, or technology consulting organization.
  • Knowledge of managed services business models.
  • Familiarity with Cisco 360 Partner Program and lifecycle incentive structures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing). Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Remote

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed.

TRAVEL:

Travel to meet with clients and internal teams as needed will be required. Travel expectation is up to 15% domestic and international travel.
