Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems and environments.
• Operate and support cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, from containerized workloads to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Deploy, configure, and maintain web servers and related services within cloud environments.
• Apply a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, particularly application-layer protocols such as HTTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, TFTP, and related technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Build and optimize Jenkins and GitLab pipelines to support reliable, efficient software delivery.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Automate configuration and system management using Ansible.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python and Bash.
• Support the end-to-end software development lifecycle by providing and maintaining effective DevOps processes, tools, and practices.
• Manage source code and version control using Git, including GitLab and GitHub.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Collaborate closely with development and other technical teams to improve system reliability, automation, deployment processes, and overall engineering efficiency.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, including containerized environments and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Good understanding of networking concepts and application-layer protocols, including HTTP, SSH, SSL/TLS, TFTP, and related technologies.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Strong knowledge of Git and experience working with GitLab and/or GitHub.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in agile teams.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, German is an advantage.
