Senior Data Engineer – Big Data & Real-Time Ingestion

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer – Big Data & Real-Time Ingestion to join a new project focused on the modernization of a large-scale data platform. The project involves migrating an existing Data Lake and Data Warehouse to a modern architecture designed around real-time data ingestion and streaming. You will contribute to building scalable data pipelines, processing high volumes of data, and enabling real-time analytics within a modern Big Data ecosystem.

What you'll do:

• Designing and implementing real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines
• Contributing to the migration of existing Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Building scalable streaming and data processing solutions
• Working with high-volume data and optimizing pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Designing solutions that support low-latency data ingestion and real-time analytics
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability across the platform
• Collaborating with Data Engineers, Architects, and other technical stakeholders to define and implement the target architecture
• Contributing to technical decisions and the evolution of a modern, real-time data ecosystem

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, preferably working with large-scale data platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with data ingestion, data pipelines, and distributed data processing
• Solid experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures
• Strong understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures
• Hands-on experience with Apache Flink or similar stream-processing technologies
• Experience with Apache Iceberg or other modern data lakehouse technologies
• Good understanding of data modelling, data quality, performance optimization, and scalable data architectures
• Experience working with cloud and/or distributed environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and contribute to architectural and technical decisions

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Fluss, Apache Hop, Telegraf, Apache Polaris, StarRocks, Helical Insight, or Grafana
• Experience with other modern open-source Big Data and streaming technologies
