About Stranger Soccer UAE
We are the UAE's leading pickup football community platform, running weekly games across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman. With over 30,000 app downloads and 60+ games weekly, we are rapidly expanding and building the content and marketing engine for our next phase of growth.
Role
This is a senior individual contributor role owning the full content, social media, and SEO function for Stranger Soccer UAE. You will take over an existing content operation (Instagram, video editing, community management) and expand it to include TikTok, Google SEO, and blog content. You'll work with a UAE-based videographer who shoots on-the-ground footage; you handle everything downstream—editing, design, captions, posting, community engagement, SEO, and analytics. This role requires independence, strategic brand thinking, and the ability to produce high-volume, quality content weekly.
Responsibilities
Content Production (~40% of time)
- Video editing: produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, match highlights, promotional content) using CapCut Pro, Descript, or equivalent
- Graphic design: create game announcements, event promos, sponsor content, and player-focused graphics using Canva Pro and AI-assisted tools
- Copywriting: write post captions, community messages, event descriptions, and marketing copy in a consistent brand voice (AI-assisted via Claude/ChatGPT allowed, but human editorial judgment required)
- Coordinate with UAE videographer: provide weekly shot briefs, review raw footage, provide feedback, ensure quality standards
Social Media Management (~25% of time)
- Instagram ownership: full management of the Stranger Soccer UAE Instagram account (feed, Reels, Stories, Highlights)
- TikTok ownership: build our TikTok presence from current state to significant follower growth. Native TikTok content (not cross-posted from Instagram), trend-driven, hook-first, minimum 4-5 posts per week
- Facebook: maintain presence, cross-post where relevant
- Content scheduling: manage weekly and monthly content calendar aligned with games and marketing activations. Ensure Sunday content is pre-scheduled before your day off
- Community management: respond to DMs, comments, and player queries with brand consistency and warmth
- Analytics and reporting: monthly performance report covering follower growth, engagement rate, reach, saves, and content-driven bookings
Google SEO (~25% of time)
- Own organic search performance for high-intent UAE football keywords: “pickup football Dubai,” “5-a-side Abu Dhabi,” “football pitches Dubai,” “join football game UAE,” etc.
- Keyword research and strategy: using Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console
- On-page SEO: optimize website pages for target keywords (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, schema markup)
- Content-for-SEO: produce 2-4 SEO-optimized blog articles per month targeting UAE-specific football search intent (each 800-1,500 words, keyword-optimized)
- Google Business Profile: manage and optimize GBP presence, post weekly updates, drive review generation, respond to Q&A
- Backlink building: identify partnership and outreach opportunities to build local domain authority
- Monthly SEO report: track keyword rankings, organic traffic, top-performing content
Strategy and Growth (~10% of time)
- Content calendar planning: monthly and weekly content plans built around game schedule, campaigns, and community events
- Campaign execution: plan and execute content around key moments (Ramadan football, National Day, Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30, holiday activations, new venue launches, unlimited pass launch)
- Competitor monitoring: track what competitors (CeleBreak and others) are doing across social and SEO — flag threats and opportunities
- Player storytelling: identify community stories worth telling (long-tenure players, milestones, personal journeys) and produce content around them

Stranger Soccer
View Company ProfileStranger Soccer is a highly disruptive sports-tech startup and mobile booking platform fundamentally designed to make playing football as effortless as going to the gym or for a jog. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates as the ultimate on-demand marketplace for the world's most popular sport. Under the hood, Stranger Soccer completely eliminates the massive logistical headaches of renting pitches, finding opponents, and collecting payments; users simply browse the app, book an individual slot in hundreds of pre-organized games, and show up to play with a vetted "Official Host" managing the match. Their primary target audience spans casual players, avid football enthusiasts, and expats who desperately need a seamless way to stay active and connected without the hassle of organizing a full squad. What sets Stranger Soccer apart in the recreational sports landscape is its staggering scalability—having already powered over 100,000 games for more than 75,000 users—and its aggressive international expansion through an innovative license-owner model that brings their community-driven, play-on-demand infrastructure to massive global hubs like Sydney, Dubai, London, and Delhi.
