Hack The Box is looking for a Senior Content Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise and cloud environments to join our Content team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, review, and maintain Machines, Pro Labs, and Cloud Labs primarily for the Enterprise platform, while occasionally contributing to other Hack The Box offerings. You will work in a highly collaborative environment to create realistic, scalable, and impactful training content used by organizations worldwide.

- Develop high-quality content primarily for the Hack The Box Enterprise platform, including Machines, Pro Labs, and Cloud Labs.
- Design, build, test, and maintain realistic enterprise, cloud, and hybrid lab environments, challenges, and machines.
- Take business goals into account when creating content and making technical decisions.
- Work closely with the Content Development team, Infrastructure team, and other stakeholders on a daily basis to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Research emerging technologies, attack techniques, enterprise solutions, cloud services, and security trends to ensure content remains relevant and realistic.
- Automate workflows and infrastructure deployment processes to improve content production, testing, and maintenance efficiency.
- Develop scalable multi-network environments incorporating Active Directory, cloud services, enterprise applications, security controls, and modern infrastructure technologies.
- Contribute to technical documentation, solution validation, and quality assurance processes for training content delivered globally.
Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of the Senior Content Engineer at Hack The Box:
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Strong experience with enterprise technologies and infrastructure.
- Experience designing and administering Active Directory environments.
- Strong networking knowledge, including routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise network architectures.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
- Knowledge of AI technologies and their practical applications.
- Highly organized, motivated, with a strong passion for information security and technology.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, working both independently and remotely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points:
- Experience creating enterprise, cloud, or hybrid training labs and learning content.
- Experience in web application and/or network penetration testing.
- Prior experience creating vulnerable machines, challenges, labs, or Capture The Flag (CTF) content.
- "Elite Hacker" or higher rank on Hack The Box.
- Capture The Flag (CTF) participation or challenge development experience.
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware Workstation, ESXi, vCenter).
- System administration experience (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Content creation, technical writing, or training development experience is a strong plus.
