Reconciliations Clerk (Remote)

You will keep a UK company's bank, supplier, and ledger balances agreeing to the penny, and own the month-end reconciliation cycle. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and follow-through matter every day, and you will be trusted to work independently without being chased. You will also be part of a supportive remote team, with regular check-ins, clear priorities, and the tools you need to do your best work from day one, so you always know what good looks like.

You will work UK business hours (09:00–17:00 UK, 11:00–19:00 SAST) from home, as part of a South African team placed directly with established UK employers. Remote Recruitment supports you from placement onwards.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank, credit card, and supplier statements to the ledger
• Investigate and clear unmatched items and differences
• Post journals and correcting entries accurately
• Maintain a clean reconciliation schedule for month-end
• Flag recurring discrepancies to the finance lead

What You'll Need

• Experience reconciling bank or supplier accounts in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups and filters
• A careful, numbers-first approach
• Clear written English for query emails
• Reliable broadband and a quiet home workspace

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Dext or Hubdoc
• Experience with multi-currency accounts
• Month-end close exposure
