Product Manager, Resident Onboarding Lift (AppFolio Partnership) at Second Nature

About the Role:

Resident Onboarding is the foundation of every resident relationship with Second Nature and the gateway to our market-leading Resident Benefits Package. This role owns Resident Onboarding Lift, a joint product with AppFolio, delivered exclusively to AppFolio property managers. You will drive the product side of this partnership, aligning with AppFolio’s platform, roadmap, and property managers to convert bookings into enrolled, revenue-generating clients.

This is an individual contributor role with full ownership. You will:

• Own the Resident Onboarding Lift roadmap and key metrics: AppFolio door enablement, enrollment rate, and resident adoption. Set targets, report progress, and deliver results.
• Become the AppFolio fluency expert at Second Nature, understanding lease templates, signing orders, counter-signing, and how property managers operate. Contribute to the joint roadmap and lead weekly AppFolio partner calls.
• Write clear, complete, and fast-to-build requirements, aligning engineering, marketing, and support for seamless customer launches.
• Set the product craft standard through discovery-to-iteration practices, modeling excellence for the entire product org.

Key Outcomes for the First 12 Months:

• Develop and maintain a prioritized Resident Onboarding Lift roadmap aligned with Second Nature’s strategic goals, customer needs, and business objectives.
• Influence AppFolio’s product strategy by aligning roadmaps, driving decisions, and improving the joint product experience.
• Deliver high-quality product execution by translating customer insights and business priorities into clear requirements and actionable plans.
• Establish a disciplined discovery, experimentation, and iteration process using customer feedback, product analytics, and performance insights.
• Deliver measurable product and partnership impact through a joint roadmap that improves onboarding performance and addresses customer pain points.

What You Bring:

• 7+ years in product management, owning a product line or platform end-to-end, with a focus on business results, not just features.
• A track record of turning strategy into a sequenced roadmap and securing investment to build it.
• Experience building products that depend on a partner’s platform, where roadmaps must align.
• Demonstrated ability to influence a major partner’s strategy and roadmaps.
• Influence that works both internally and externally, with confidence in debates with senior executives and savvy in knowing when to push or hold back.
• Technical fluency to earn engineering’s trust and make real architecture tradeoffs.
• Curiosity and passion for your market and product, with a drive to understand why things are (or aren’t) working.
• Bonus: Direct experience with AppFolio, Proptech, or SaaS, or complex B2B2C products.
