Role

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our team. This is a Remote role, reporting to the Sr. Director WW Field PM for AMS in the Data Security Product Organization department. As a key member of the Data Security Product Organization, your main focus of this position is to grow and sustain Zscaler core businesses revenues across the AMS region, with a special focus on AI-Powered Data Security product lines. You will work closely with Product Management and Sales leadership to manage field engagements and provide technical & commercial assistance to Sales Engineers and Account Executives throughout the customer lifecycle. Finally, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the evolution of our platform by bringing real-world customer feedback from the field to help address emerging AI and data security challenges.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Drive the sales strategy and execution for the Data Security product suite specifically for our AMS customer base
  • Assist with Data Security opportunities to demonstrate technical superiority and business value
  • Partner with Product Management leadership to translate field insights into product strategy & roadmap by leading competitive analysis, win/loss reviews, customer commitment tracking, pricing planning, and pipeline and churn analysis across the DLP, DSPM, and AI portfolio
  • Enable and educate the broader Zscaler field team to effectively position and sell Data Security solutions within their accounts
  • Work with support leadership to provide timely assistance to large customers in event of escalations and deployment of Zscaler services
  • Provide clear, concise, and data-driven updates on deal status, pipeline health, business performance, and key risks to Sales and Product leadership, enabling informed decision-making

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback—knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
  • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • A foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging AI solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain.
  • Proven professional experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as a Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, or Product Manager.
  • Deep expertise in Data Security technologies like Cloud DLP, Inline DLP, CASB, Email/Endpoint DLP, DSPM, AISPM, SSPM & securing AI agents.
  • Deep understanding of SWG, ZTNA, proxies, firewalls, VPN, Secure Browser, and authentication/identity protocols such as SAML and SCIM.
  • Subject matter expertise in infrastructure deployment within a major public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting using modern project management tools to track engagement and activity.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • A deep technical understanding of Generative AI infrastructure and cloud security platforms, with proven experience designing, scaling, or securing AI-driven data detection, automated policy generation, and addressing architectural data security risks.
  • A comprehensive understanding of core Internet and network protocols (including TCP, UDP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL/TLS) and modern network traffic architectures.
  • Exceptional communication skills combined with strategic insight into how enterprise customers leverage digital transformation, automation, and evolving data integration patterns to drive measurable business outcomes.

Zscaler is a cloud security company that created the 'Zero Trust Exchange.' Before Zscaler, companies used to buy expensive hardware firewalls to protect their offices (the 'castle and moat' approach). But now that employees work from home and apps are in the cloud (like Salesforce, Office 365), that old model doesn't work. Zscaler moved the entire security stack to the cloud. Instead of connecting to your office network via a slow VPN, you connect to the Zscaler cloud, which inspects your traffic instantly and securely connects you to the specific app you need—without ever placing you on the corporate network.
