Pluralis Research is pioneering Protocol Learning, a fully decentralized way to train and deploy AI models that democratizes access to AI development, enabling individuals rather than large corporations to contribute and control models collaboratively.
As our Operations Associate, you’ll be the driving force behind the scenes, coordinating meetings, travel, events, and administrative tasks for our CEO and team. This hands-on, execution-focused role is ideal for someone early in their career who is organized, fast-paced, and eager to gain exposure across all aspects of the business. You’ll start with coordination and administrative duties before taking ownership of operational projects.
Responsibilities
Support the CEO’s external engagements by setting up meetings, calls, dinners, and hosted sessions with investors, partners, researchers, and candidates.
Manage travel and logistics for the CEO and team, including conferences like NeurIPS and ICLR, as well as team offsites across Australia and the US.
Assist with events support, collaborating with the Events & Operations Associate and Chief of Staff to organize offsites, conference presence, our Tech Talks series, and hosted dinners. Own logistics and follow-through.
Handle team administration, including onboarding new hires, managing equipment and tooling requests, processing expenses and invoices, setting up vendors, formatting and polishing documents, and maintaining records in Notion and Google Drive.
Build systems leveraging AI tools to automate workflows and improve efficiency. This is an agent-first company, and you’ll be expected to integrate AI into your daily tasks.
What You’ll Bring
2–5 years of experience in administrative, coordination, executive support, or operations roles.
Prior experience working in a funded startup (Seed, Series A, or B stages) or within Venture Capital or Private Equity.
Proven track record of supporting an executive team and managing general operations.
Experience coordinating events, including logistics and follow-up.
Strong written communication skills—your work should reflect your own voice, not an AI-generated output.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with Notion, Linear, and Slack or Zulip (or the ability to learn these tools quickly). Daily use of AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in your workflow.
Comfort working across multiple timezones, including early or late calls to coordinate with the US team.
Nice to Have
Exposure to AI, deep tech, research, or crypto communities.
Direct experience supporting a founder or executive.
Event coordination experience across multiple countries.
Examples of how you’ve used AI tools to automate parts of your workload.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary.
Remote-first culture with regular team offsites and opportunities to travel to the US.
Direct access to the CEO and Chief of Staff, with exposure to all functions of the business.

Pluralis Research
View Company ProfilePluralis Research (operating at pluralis.ai) is a decentralized AI research lab pioneering a new paradigm for collective ownership and collaborative development of foundation models. Founded in 2024 by Alexander Long, the company challenges centralized AI dominance by designing protocols that enable global contributors to co-train and co-own AI systems. Unlike traditional AI labs that hoard proprietary models, Pluralis envisions a future where AI infrastructure is democratized, reducing reliance on single entities like OpenAI. Its core technology centers on decentralized training frameworks, allowing researchers and organizations to pool computational resources while maintaining equitable governance. This approach empowers decentralized communities—from academic institutions to enterprise teams—to build and refine AI models without siloed control. Backed by a $7.6 million seed round led by CoinFund and Union Square Ventures, Pluralis is positioning itself as a disruptive force in open-source AI, though it currently lacks a product and instead focuses on research and protocol development.
