Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented, experienced medical coder who understands that accurate coding is the foundation of a healthy revenue cycle. You bring strong outpatient coding expertise and a sharp eye for documentation—catching what others miss and knowing exactly how to translate a clinical encounter into a clean, compliant claim. You communicate confidently with providers and teammates, and you know how to make complex coding questions easier to understand. You thrive in a remote environment where you can take ownership of your work, manage competing priorities, and keep things moving. Most importantly, you care about getting it right—for our providers, our patients, and the business.
Who We Are
Oasis Health Partners (Oasis) is building healthier communities by advancing primary care. We partner with patients, providers, and plans to provide personalized, local care for seniors across the country. We believe that patient needs come first, and that primary care is the foundation of patient-centric healthcare. With Oasis, patients receive better access and care. Providers receive the data, resources, and expertise to be successful in value-based care arrangements. Payors get the benefit of a solution that improves performance, drives growth, and reduces the total cost of care in hard-to-engage markets.
Together, we will boldly advance primary care for those that need it most. We are excited for you to join us on this journey. We invite you to be a part of Oasis, where you will discover we listen first, do the right thing, build things together, and go all in—while having fun!
Your Role
Oasis is building a strong, scalable Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) offering to support independent and community-based primary care practices. As a Medical Coder, you will play a vital role in keeping the revenue cycle moving—from accurate outpatient coding and clean claim submission through coding-related denial resolution. You will work closely with providers and billing staff to ensure documentation supports accurate, compliant coding, and serve as a resource when coding questions arise. Your work will help reduce revenue leakage, improve clean claim rates, and create a better experience for the practices and patients we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters based on provider documentation
- Enter and manage charges within eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Review and submit claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to submission
- Identify and resolve coding-related denials; resubmit corrected claims as needed
- Collaborate with providers and billing staff to clarify documentation and coding questions
- Stay current on payor policies, coding guideline updates, and compliance requirements
- Support coding audits and quality reviews as needed
Investment In Our Team
We invest in the personal and professional success of our team. We take care of our people and offer robust benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and generous time off plans. We are committed to supporting your growth with a development program that starts with onboarding and continues throughout your career. As an inclusive, passionate, and diverse team, you will partner with professionals who understand the importance of high-value, high-impact patient care.
About You
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient medical coding
- Experience working in eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payor billing requirements
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payor guidelines
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to coding accuracy and compliance
- Ability to independently manage priorities and follow work through to resolution in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet access and the ability to maintain a HIPAA-compliant remote workspace
