About You:

• You have built and maintained homegrown software, not just managed vendors. Your expertise includes scoping, sequencing, release management, enhancement backlogs, performance optimization, and fixing technical issues. You have worked closely with engineering and data teams, understanding architecture, data models, and tradeoffs without being an engineer.

We are seeking a Director of Product to own our internal platform/software for prioritizing and routing work across internal teams. This tool leverages internal data and AI to determine the highest-value work, present it to the right person at the right time, and learn from outcomes. This is a hands-on role with full ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the VBCOS end-to-end: prioritization logic, data model, and end-user experience
• Define the data model behind the tool, including object relationships, field sources, and data integrity requirements
• Collaborate with data and analytics teams to identify and vet source systems, determining what can be used immediately versus what needs development or cleanup
• Build and socialize prototypes, presenting clickable versions to market teams, clinical teams, and leadership for early decision-making and iteration
• Work alongside engineering and data teams to design, deliver, test, release, and monitor post-launch performance
• Act as the quarterback across risk adjustment, quality, clinical, growth, market operations, and patient engagement, converting competing priorities into a cohesive plan
• Translate complex operational problems into product requirements and translate product decisions into clear language for market leaders and executives
• Own the feedback loop as a core product feature, ensuring user interactions improve the logic over time
• Determine where AI fits in workflows and where it doesn’t, owning these features through evaluation, guardrails, and measurement
• Lead adoption efforts with market and clinical teams, including super user groups, training, and change management
• Provide executive-level updates, risk assessments, and recommendations

In the first 12 months, you will:

• Launch the MVP of the platform and implement it with the first user group
• Develop the roadmap for future enhancements, including core product improvements and expansion into additional personas and channels
• Establish performance tracking to measure adoption, action completion, and downstream impact
• Integrate platform data back into priority models to improve recommendations
• Create a structured rhythm for collecting, triaging, prioritizing, and closing user feedback

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in product management, with experience across both software products and data/analytics products
• Track record of building and maintaining internally developed software, including release processes, enhancement cycles, performance monitoring, and technical debt management
• Experience with Medicare Advantage and value-based care, particularly in risk adjustment, quality, or care management workflows (strongly preferred)
• Comfortable working directly with data; hands-on experience with a modern data stack such as Snowflake, dbt, and a BI layer like Sigma, Looker, or Tableau
• Experience prototyping with tools like Figma, Replit, or Lovable
• Experience with AI or LLM-enabled features in production products, including prompt and retrieval design, evaluation, testing, and human-in-the-loop patterns
• Fluent with modern product and engineering tools: Jira or Linear, Figma, Git, API/integration work, and agile/iterative delivery
• Experience with healthcare data and systems such as claims, EMR integrations, CRM/patient engagement platforms
• Strong problem solver who thrives with incomplete information and doesn’t wait for a plan
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and distill complex information
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, including comfort with shifting priorities and performing tasks below your title when necessary
