Learning & Development / Instructional Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Track, assess, and communicate project status with team members and stakeholders routinely
• Manage the learning projects, applying project management principles, processes, and tools to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of complex learning programs
• Support and drive discussions with business leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to drive clear learning outcomes, goals, timelines, and target populations; all tied to the strategic needs of the business
• Perform the design and development of storyboards, courses, curriculum, and learning materials for both synchronous and asynchronous learning programs as necessary. Design learning assets as needed for programs.
• Design and deliver presentations aligned to audience, including senior leaders

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in learning & development, instructional design, or project management, ideally in a corporate/enterprise setting
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent learning projects from scoping through delivery
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate business needs into learning solutions

Project Management

• Working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) applied to learning/training programs
• PMP, CAPM, or similar certification a plus, not required
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, and timelines for complex, multi-workstream initiatives
• Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Jira)

Instructional Design & Development

• Proficiency in instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, or similar)
• Hands-on experience developing storyboards, curricula, and learning materials for both synchronous (ILT/VILT) and asynchronous (eLearning) formats
• Familiarity with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms
• Experience designing supplementary learning assets (job aids, videos, infographics)

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to synthesize project status into clear, concise updates for varied audiences
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver executive-level presentations
• Consultative approach — comfortable facilitating discussions and pushing back/aligning stakeholders on scope, timeline, or goals
• Experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership
