As a Lead Risk Advisor Assistant, you will serve as a senior support partner to one or more Risk Advisors, playing a key role in overseeing daily insurance operations, ensuring high-quality client servicing, and maintaining operational excellence across accounts.

We are seeking an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in commercial and business insurance, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This role requires hands-on experience coordinating directly with underwriters on manually underwritten commercial policies and supporting Risk Advisors through complex placement workflows, while also providing guidance or quality oversight to junior team members as needed.

  • Serve as the primary operational and account servicing support for one or more Risk Advisors, ensuring seamless management of commercial insurance accounts.
  • Prepare, review, and process commercial insurance submissions, quotations, proposals, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
  • Coordinate directly with insurance carriers and underwriters on new business, renewals, policy revisions, subjectivities, and outstanding requirements.
  • Support the placement and servicing of commercial insurance policies, including General Liability (GL), Property, Workers' Compensation (WC), Commercial Auto, Umbrella, and other commercial coverages.
  • Prepare, review, and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs), endorsements, evidence of coverage documents, and other policy-related documentation.
  • Review policies for accuracy and completeness, ensuring coverage terms, limits, and endorsements align with client requirements.
  • Gather, organize, and validate client information required for submissions, applications, renewals, and carrier requests.
  • Maintain accurate records across insurance management systems, CRMs, and carrier portals.
  • Manage and monitor billing-related items with clients and carriers, escalating discrepancies when necessary.
  • Track outstanding policy requirements, carrier subjectivities, compliance items, and renewal timelines.
  • Draft and send professional communications to clients, carriers, and underwriters on behalf of Risk Advisors.
  • Conduct quality reviews of work completed by junior assistants or support staff, when applicable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve servicing workflows, documentation standards, and operational efficiency.
