About the Role
Ramp is expanding payments across the EU through its Swedish payment institution. The European operations team (Europs) onboards European businesses and maintains their trading status, leveraging Ramp’s regulated entities and payment partners. The team uses AI-driven automations to streamline workflows.
Ramp is hiring a KYB/AML Analyst in Stockholm to:
- Conduct first-line (1LoD) KYB reviews for business customers onboarding with Ramp’s Swedish payment institution, including company verification, beneficial ownership checks, sanctions/PEP/adverse-media screening, and risk assessment.
- Decide standard cases end-to-end and escalate complex or higher-risk cases with clear rationales.
- Handle customer communications during onboarding, including document requests, follow-ups, and status updates.
- Resolve onboarding requirements from card-issuing and payments partners for EU customers.
- Document decisions to a standard that meets second-line and regulatory review requirements.
- Ensure continuity of Swedish casework during teammate absences or incidents.
- Improve workflows by developing playbooks, templates, and AI-assisted workflows.
What You Need
- 2–4 years of experience in KYB/AML/onboarding at a fintech, payment institution, EMI, or bank.
- Strong knowledge of business customer due diligence, including company registers, UBO identification, sanctions/PEP screening, and red flag detection.
- Fluent written and verbal English.
- Clear, friendly written communication skills for customer interactions.
- Curiosity about AI tools and their potential to enhance casework efficiency.
- Ability to work in or relocate to Stockholm, Sweden, with the right to work in Sweden.
Nice-to-Haves
- Fluent in Swedish (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with Swedish sources and requirements, such as Bolagsverket, the beneficial ownership register, and FI expectations under the Swedish AML Act.
- Experience onboarding EU businesses across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in an additional European language.
