As the Integrations Lead, Partnerships, you’ll report directly to Kat and be responsible for owning our integration partnerships across inbound, outbound, and account management, acting as the technical liaison for Product Managers and Engineering.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong communication and collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product, and Marketing. You’ll engage with inbound partners, guiding them on best practices for developing use cases against Ashby’s APIs.

What You’ll Do

Own the inbound integration lifecycle:

  • Own inbound integration requests from qualification through launch and ongoing maintenance, using judgment about customer value, product fit, technical feasibility, partner commitment, and Ashby’s priorities.
  • Guide partners through the process—from NDA and sandbox access to API documentation, onboarding, testing, and launch—balancing async and live collaboration.
  • Set clear expectations, keep work moving, and close the loop thoughtfully when an integration is not the right fit or a current priority.

Connect partners, Product, and Engineering:

  • Serve as the technical and commercial liaison across integration partners and Ashby’s Product, Engineering, Product Operations, Support, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Translate partner and customer needs into clear requirements, tradeoffs, and next steps, determining the right path: native build, partner-built integration, connector, unified API, or future roadmap opportunity.
  • Help partners navigate API concepts such as authentication, endpoints, webhooks, data mapping, and workflow design, while applying sound judgment to design-partner and enterprise requests.
  • Own how integration knowledge reaches Sales, Customer Success, and Support, ensuring teams are well-versed on current and upcoming integrations.

Own quality, launches, and strategic partnerships:

  • Coordinate integration reviews and launch readiness with partners and Product, including workflow validation, feedback, security considerations, configuration, documentation, assets, and Marketplace publication.
  • Maintain the external integration directory and partner-facing resources, partnering with Marketing and Product Marketing on launch communications, enablement, and ongoing updates.
  • Manage larger integration relationships, working with Enterprise Sales, Customer Success, and Product to understand customer needs, enterprise opportunities, design-partner requirements, and roadmap implications.
  • Represent Ashby externally in partner discovery, technical scoping, roadmap conversations, launches, and post-launch feedback loops.
  • Optimize current integrations when updates arise, coordinating scope with Project Managers and aligning with partners and internally.

Improve the operational foundations for scale:

  • Keep HubSpot and related partnership systems current with partner context, status, ownership, timelines, and customer or prospect demand.
  • Improve swim lanes, handoffs, SLAs, documentation, reporting, and support paths as you operate the program.
  • Automate high-frequency, low-variance work while preserving human judgment for qualification, prioritization, quality review, and strategic relationship management.
  • Work directly with the knowledge base team to build systems for keeping integration documentation up-to-date.

About You

Ideal candidates have experience and skills in:

  • Working at the intersection of partnerships, product, technology, and customers—in integration or platform partnerships, technical program management, product management, solutions architecture, implementation, or similar roles.
  • Technical fluency in APIs, authentication, data flows, webhooks, sandboxes, and integration tradeoffs. Comfortable asking precise questions and learning how systems work.
  • Strong product and business judgment to distinguish between interesting requests, customer problems, strategic opportunities, and commitments Ashby should make.
  • Clear communication and writing skills to build trust with partners, set expectations, and turn messy conversations into crisp requirements, decisions, and documentation.
  • Operational discipline and improvement mindset to own high-volume workstreams, create structure in ambiguity, automate repetitive work, and follow through across teams.
  • Deep care for the customer experience and ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and external partners.
  • Inclination to build systems, not just run them, by finding problems, scoping them, and proposing solutions.

This role probably isn’t right if...

  • You want a role focused only on strategy or relationship development.
  • You’re uncomfortable with technical detail, difficult prioritization decisions, or direct conversations about fit and expectations.
  • You prefer an established playbook or a single-function role rather than building structure across teams.
  • You dislike writing, async communication, proactive follow-up, or representing Ashby externally.
  • You are unable to work across time zones or travel occasionally.
  • You get overwhelmed by your inbox.
  • You dislike being on calls or leading meetings with customer leads, partner leads, and Ashby Product Managers.

Ashby is a highly disruptive, analytics-first Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and all-in-one recruiting CRM that is fundamentally revolutionizing how high-growth companies hire top talent. Founded in 2018 by Benjamin Encz and Abhik Pramanik (backed by Y Combinator) and headquartered in San Francisco, California, the company was built out of sheer frustration with clunky, legacy hiring platforms. Under the hood, Ashby seamlessly consolidates the entire talent acquisition tech stack—handling everything from automated outbound sourcing and AI-driven candidate screening to complex, high-volume interview scheduling and world-class pipeline analytics. Their primary target audience spans aggressive, growth-stage tech startups and massive mid-market enterprises (including industry heavyweights like Notion, Figma, and Opendoor) that desperately need to make data-driven, million-dollar hiring decisions without workflow friction. What sets Ashby apart in the fiercely competitive HR Tech landscape is its uncompromising "analytics-first" philosophy and deep AI integration across every layer of the product; they do not just track applicants, they empower recruiting teams to operate with the exact same precision, automation, and data visibility as elite performance marketing organizations.
