Why This Role is Exciting

This is the go-to-market leadership seat for our GRC business — the largest and most established part of Optro — at the exact moment the category is being redefined by agentic AI. You will own how the market understands audit, risk, and compliance at Optro, and you will lead a team of product marketers through the transition from established leader to category-definer. If you want to shape a market rather than describe one, and you want to do it at a company scaling fast enough to make that possible, this is the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a highly-talented team of product marketers covering our GRC portfolio
  • Operate as the GTM leader for our audit, risk, and compliance business lines, setting our strategy for growth in each market we serve
  • Define the narrative for what GRC becomes in the agentic era, and lead our efforts to establish Optro as the company setting that agenda
  • Collaborate with product leadership to define our roadmap and plan to win across the audit, risk, and compliance markets
  • Be the expert for Optro’s products and innovation, use cases, and the markets in which we compete, internally and externally
  • Act as a strategic thought partner with sales to build the playbooks, content, and resources that improve sales productivity and win rates
  • Define GTM and launch plans for new products and capabilities as a cross-functional leader and partner to sales, marketing, product, and client success teams
  • Develop messaging, positioning, buyer personas, product presentations, and key content as the cornerstone of strategic campaigns
  • Work closely with the demand generation team to design compelling campaigns for prospects, customers, and partners
  • Lead quarterly business review (QBR) reporting for the GRC business lines by distilling business insights for the leadership team, and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to accelerate growth

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • Proven product marketing leadership at a rapidly scaling B2B SaaS company, including hiring, managing, and developing product marketers
  • Experience across each area of product marketing, from market strategy and GTM, to product launch, enablement, and messaging
  • Ability to span both strategy and execution as the leader of a team
  • Track record of moving fast and building new processes in a high-growth environment where the playbook is still being written
  • Ambition to lead a market rather than follow it, and the judgment to know which bets are worth making
  • Ability to translate emerging technology, including agentic AI, into clear customer value
  • Exposure to Audit, Compliance, Information Security Industry a plus

Nice to Have

  • Working command of the audit, risk, and compliance landscape — the buyers, the regulatory pressures, and how these functions actually operate
  • Direct background in audit, risk, or compliance — as a practitioner, consultant, or in-house program owner
  • Experience marketing AI or agentic products to a technical or highly regulated buyer
  • Experience marketing a portfolio of multiple products or business lines

Optro (operating under optro.ai, and formerly widely known as AuditBoard) is the premier, enterprise-grade AI-powered Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software pioneer, connected risk innovator, and regulatory data management powerhouse engineered to operate as the definitive, high-velocity internal audit, InfoSec threat landscape mitigation, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls alignment, and enterprise risk management (ERM) system of action for regulated corporations globally. Originally founded in 2014 as SOXHUB before expanding and rebranding to AuditBoard, the company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern institutional oversight—where enterprise assurance leaders lose critical operational momentum to manual control-testing spreadsheets, siloed multi-framework compliance backlogs, delayed risk visibility, and expensive third-party audit bottlenecks—by deploying a sophisticated, agentic risk ecosystem. Moving far beyond traditional, passive check-the-box regulatory logs or basic static document templates, Optro natively unifies real-time predictive risk metrics, cross-framework control mapping, automated continuous control testing, and its cutting-edge AI governance solution (accelerated by the strategic acquisition of FairNow to safely govern employee AI usage policy and adoption) into a single high-availability operational framework. Trusted by more than 50 percent of the Fortune 500—including massive corporate ecosystems like Cisco, Amgen, Priceline, Lyft, and Snowflake—the platform processes extensive regulatory workflows and enterprise risk profiles with production-hardened precision. Backed by private equity powerhouse Hg Capital following a monumental ~$3 billion transaction, and scaling beyond $300 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), the organization deploys secure multi-tenant data structures, customizable business intelligence metrics, and deep Microsoft enterprise suite hooks built to maintain bulletproof data integrity across massive financial and operational scales. What sets Optro apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, reactive audit processes with absolute organizational transparency and connected compliance velocity; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive big data telemetry and frontline internal operational accountability, the enterprise remains the definitive, category-defining cornerstone of modern algorithmic risk intelligence and global corporate digital compliance scaling.
